(Emma's POV)
I sit in the front of the classroom staring at the door. 'Where is she?' Cass hasn't come back...she didn't sit with everyone...I didn't see her outside. Cass' things sit next to hers as she holds them for her friend. 'Did a teacher give her an errand?' 'Is she sick?!' I begin to worry and stare at the door, in hopes that it will open, letting my friend enter the classroom. Where is she?

"Ok, class is dismissed; have a nice day!" Mrs. Doli says with a perky smile. I get up and dash out the door with both Cass' and my own books to the science class. Tre, Armin and Brice wait there for me.
"Why do you have Cass' books?" Tre asks confused. I take a breath.
"She hasn't returned to class. I don't know where she went." I say, trying to suppress my panicked voice.
"She has to be here...We sat with her at lunch." Armin says questioning me.
"She's missing?" Brice asks, eavesdropping on the conversation.
"Yeah...We don't know where she went." I reply, keeping it simple. 'Why would he worry over his ex? Strange...' I say to myself as we enter the classroom and do the essential question.
