(Tre's POV)
She cups my face as I continue to pour everything out to Cass. My face grows hot to her touch. I look into her eyes; those beautiful bright blue orbs that I can't help but get lost into. Everything feels like its moving in slow motion. I snap out of my thoughts to realize how close she is to me. We're inches away from one another."Cass..." I say softly. We look into each other's eyes mesmerized by one another. 'This feeling...my heart is racing, the room feels warm and hazy.' I can't see anything else but her. Time stands still as we close to gap between each other. My eyes are getting heavy, similarly to hers. Our eyes are close as our lips lightly brush one another's, sending a jolt of energy through my body, waking up my senses. Her other hand has moved up to my chest where my heart is beating. My hands slowly move to cup her face, as one trails to her side. My hand doesn't rest long on her side as it continues to travel around to the small of her back, pulling her closer to me. The taste of her intoxicated my senses. My lungs fill with the air mixed with hers, my heart is thumping out of my chest under her soft, delicate hand resting on me. After what feels like only seconds, we both slowly pull away for air. The room fills with a quiet heavy breathing. The hand that was cupping my face is now rested on my shoulder. We open our eyes and stare in surprise at one another.
"...Tre" she says in a whisper.
"Yeah." My voice is hoarse from lack of air. I swallow hard trying to return air to my lungs.
"Can I tell you a secret?" She looks at me, seeming a bit shy.
"You can tell me anything." I listen closely, eager to hear what she's going to tell me.
"I've never kissed anyone before. You were my first." She seems shy about this fact. "Most people have by this time..."
"That's alright. I'm glad I was your first. I honestly thought you would have with Brice..." I stare, my words trailing off. She looks away a bit.
"I felt too shy around him for me to ever have enough confidence to do that." She looks back at me. 'God she's beautiful.' We both sit in silence for a moment.
"Cassie?"
"Yeah" I'm not as terrified to ask. I feel more confident. 'Maybe she does feel the same.'
"Cass, will you give me a chance...and be my girlfriend?" I look into her eyes. She looks surprised. Then she gives a small smile. Her cheeks grow rosy as she continues to look at me.
"I'd like that, Tre."
