I stare dumbfounded at the clock, waiting for the bell to ring at 1:35, allowing me to leave this class. I get frustrated as time moves slowly, taking its time.

"Cass?" Armin questions, snapping me out of my glare at the clock.

"There's no need to kill the clock, ease up." He continues, joking around. I look at my friends and give a smile.

"Cass, can I have my pen back?" Emma asks eyeing my hand with her purple pen. I didn't realize that I took her pen...weird.

"I'm sorry, here." I reply, passing it to her. She takes it with a smile and packs it into her pencil bag along with the rest of her writing utensils.

"Thank you." She still has her cheery sunshine of a smile on her face. Her golden blonde hair, curls around her face. I love her hair, how smooth it is, like a petal.

"So what were you looking at?" Tre asks with a smirk. 'Here we go again...' I think to myself.

"I was just waiting for the clock to reach 1:35." I say with a shrug. He begins to smile.

"Ohhhhh, so someone has plans...like maybe a...date." He says questioning me raising his eyebrow. I glare at the small guy, a bit hurt.

"...No...you know I'm single..." I say with a sigh, looking down a bit.

"Cassy, are you okay?" Emma asks me a bit worried. I look up to be greeted with her emerald green eyes.

"I'm okay." I give her a false smile, hoping the questions would end. The bell sings into the air, dismissing us from class. 'Talk about saved by the bell.' I quickly get up and head to my 6th period class, luckily, the last class of the day.

"Tre, you doofus, you hurt her feelings! You know that's a sensitive topic right now!" I heard Emma nag Tre as they continue the conversation without me. I know he meant well and only wanted to cheer me up...it just wasn't the right time.

I walk into my science class and sit in my spot, waiting for class to begin. My mind begins to blur as my thoughts overwhelm me, forcing me into my thoughts.

'It's a cold February, more specifically, Valentine's Day. Excitement bubbles through me as I go to the computer lab as quickly as possible. My scarlet flame trails behind me, as my crystal blue eyes look forward with joy as I get to see him. I reach the door and walk inside, taking my seat at the middle table. To my right, sat Brice, who always beats me to that class. He looks at me with a bright smile. I return the bright smile, giving a simple hello.

"Hey Cassy, I got you something." He replies with a small smile. He pulls something out of his bag. I try to peek over his shoulder but I can't manage to see what he's getting. He turns around and hands me a small box with chocolate M&Ms.

"Awww, thank you." I say happily as I hug him. He hugs me back with a slight laugh.

"No problem." He says, seeming a bit shy and a bit relieved that I liked his gift. I quickly remembered the card I made for him and quickly went to dig it out of my bag. I pull out a small card I made him and handed it to him with a small smile. I usually don't share much of my emotions or feelings, but I decided to take a risk and tell him how I feel. Because of this, I'll learn the hard lesson: To lock my feelings away so nobody can use them against me to hurt me. I look up and was greeted with a smile.

"...Thanks." He stutters out, a bit shy. "Nice picture by the way." On the back, I drew a hybrid he wanted to see from a few weeks back. Jessica and I were drawing mixtures of creatures in class and he happened to see a glimpse of it and was curious. The picture was a combination of a squirrel and a bunny, which turned out very cute. We give each other a small smile as we're forced to turn towards our computers to work on assignments, wishing there was nothing to do.'

I snap out of my daze to be greeted by Dan.

"Cass?" He asks curiously.

"Yes?" I asked, hoping it was a normal question.

"Why are you standing in the hallway?" He asks me with a funny look on his face. 'CRAP!' I thought I was in class already.

"I...Uhh...I should probably get to class." I state as I return to class, telling Dan I'd talk to him later on. He gives me the eyebrow, shrugging it off and returning to his math class. Luckily class hasn't stared yet, surprisingly, so I casually take my seat at my desk. I earn some weird stares, but they quickly disregard where I possibly went and go about their business. I can't be dazing off like this...My grades could be at stake and I can't just wonder around the school aimlessly like I just did. I could get in trouble for that. This can't continue, but how can I stop thinking about him?
