I had dinner with Loki and his family that evening, we all sat around talking and laughing at Odin and Frigga told me stories about the boys. Both of their cheeks has burned red with embarrassment at some point or another.

"When are you planning to return for your first visit?" Odin asks us.

I stop to consider it. Providing everything went well with our mission we would be back home in two weeks time but if pushed it would be three weeks, five weeks and we would be at the end of November.

"We return in five weeks. We have our own tasks to complete within the next three weeks so we will not be available should you need us." I answer him.

"Noted. You will not be here for the next set of meetings so I will send correspondence to you, filling you in on the details." He says.

"Father, why are you sending Kathy correspondence but not us?" Thor asks.

"Probably because I turn up to meetings on time." I mutter to myself but Frigga hears and  laughs quietly, I look up at her with a grin.

"She needs to understand what is happening here, learn our culture. Like you and Loki she has her own duties to attend to now she is part of our family and just like I did with the two of you, I will guide her so she can perform them to her her best standard."

My cheeks warm as he openly tells them I am part of their family.

"Come on Loki, I will not be late just because you are preening." I hear him mutter to himself, something about preening but he still doesn't move from the mirror, I feel my annoyance grow and slam the door shut. Turning on the spot I walk myself to the throne room.

We had been summoned and I refused to be late to a formal meeting.

I walk the halls quickly recalling the way perfectly. The guards open the doors as I walk up to them, my stride never pausing. I hold my head high as I reach the base of the stairs, I curtsy and wait to be spoken to. I can't help but notice that Thor hasn't arrived yet either.

Typical.

"Daughter." Odin nods at me, taking me by surprise as he publicly declares it.

"Father." I nod back.

"I see neither of my sons are with you." He states, a smile playing on his face.

"It wasn't from lack of trying." I grumble.

The doors sound again, I turn to look at them both with a frown but they ignore me, stopping beside me they bow.

"My sons."

"Father" They say at the same time.

"Can either of you explain to me why Katherine can turn up on time but neither of you can?"

Thor clears his throat and smiles at his Father.

"We thought she might enjoy taking the spotlight for a few moments."

My head snaps toward them both, fury on my face.

"We? I did no such thing." Loki states.

"So what is your excuse, Loki?" Odin asks.

"She ran ahead of me." My eyes narrow on him.

"Katherine. What do you say to this?" He asks me, I can hear the humour in his voice, no doubt finding it amusing that his son's wouldn't even look at me.
