We had been walking around the streets of London for a while, I had been showing Loki all the places I used to go with my friends. Everything from where I stayed to where we went for treats and books.
"I can't believe you used to eat this stuff." He says as he looks through a window in disgust but I just laugh at him.
"We didn't have much of a choice, anyone who wasn't noble or royalty didn't get the kinds of luxuries we're now used to."
I grin as I walk to the next shop but as I lean to look in the window a thumping noise makes me pause.
"What is that?" Loki asks as he steps beside me, I close my eyes and let my mind reach out into the real world, hearing the knocking again.
"I think it might be time to wake up." I sigh. "We have a visitor."
He put a hand on my shoulder and I look up at him.
"I'd like to do this again, I like learning about your past this way."
"Of course we can, I could show you my memories too sometime." I smile at him.
"That sounds wonderful." He leans down and kisses me gently and I let go of the dream.
My eyes open and I watch him wake up with a smile.
"Good morning." I whisper and he smiles back at me.
"Good morning, Love." He presses a kiss to my lips and strokes my cheek as he pulls back.
The knocking starts up again and we both sigh before laughing quietly at our responses.
"Give us a moment!" Loki shouts and the knocking stops before he gets out of bed and dresses himself, I sit up and shift so my legs dangle off the bed but I already know it's not going to happen. I flex my toes and press them into the floor, testing my weight but my body buckles and I fall back onto the bed with a harsh sigh.
"It's alright Love." He says as he comes around to me and leans down. "It's going to take some time. Let's get you comfortable." He helps me move back up so I'm sat against the headboard, I make sure the shirt I'm wearing is covering me while he fixes the blankets over my legs.
"Go and answer the door Loki." I laugh as he folds part of the blanket for the third time. "Stop being such a mother hen, I'm fine."
He scowls at me playfully before letting the blanket drop and walking over to the door.
"Yes?" He says as the door opens but he's quickly pushed out of the way when Thor comes barging in. "What do you think you are doing?!"
Thor ignores him and walks straight over to me, sitting beside me and pulling me into a tight hug.
"Are you ok?" He says, his voice strained. I smile and rub his back as Loki comes over glaring at him.
"I'm fine now, Loki is looking after me." Loki's face softens slightly but he clears his throat as Thor pulls back and looks over to him.
"Of course he is." It's at that moment that he takes in the mess of the room before looking at Loki again with a frown. "You really didn't clean up yet?"
"I had higher priorities." Loki shrugs, waving a hand so the room rights itself. I laugh, knowing he could have done that at any point and he had clearly chosen not to. Such a flare for dramatics.
Another knock makes the three of us look at each other in confusion.
"Are you expecting company?" Thor asks, making Loki huff as he walks back to the door.
