I jolt awake in a panic, I sit up and frantically look around until I realise I'm in mine and Loki's room.

"Love?" He mumbles sleepily, sitting up and putting a hand on my back as I try to calm down

"Nightmare." I grumble, rubbing a hand over my face.

My dreams had started out fine but had quickly taken a turn when I was pulled away from everything and had landed back in that stone room, the cuffs had latches around me and my energy had been diminished so quickly. All I could see was Ivar's wild grin as my life got pulled away from me.

"You're safe now." Loki says quietly, resting his head on my shoulder while his hand strokes up and down my back.

"I know. I'll be fine." I rest my head on his while I catch my breath, eyes flicking over to the window. I'm not sure how long we had been sleeping but the dark sky outside had begun to lighten.

"How are you feeling?" He asks quietly. I test my body out, lifting an arm up and flexing my fingers. I can do it but it takes effort.

"Like I'm not on deaths door anymore." I murmur, letting some of my magic swirl around my raised hand. "My magic is fine though, it's as responsive as ever."

He hums and lifts his free hand against the back mine, a green shimmering slides between his fingers before our magics latch onto each other, it dances around each others in my palm, it's beautiful and elegant as it twirls around in synchronisation.

His fingers slide between mine, closing our hands and extinguishing the magic. He pulls my hand to his mouth, placing a kiss against my wrist before lifting his head and turning it to mine.

"You should try to sleep some more." His warm breath fans over my face and I lean into him slightly so I can rub my nose against his.

"I know." I press my lips to his and breathe him in, his hand rubs up my back slowly but continues up until his fingers are in my hair.

Our mouths move together as he lies me back down, his body leaning over mine slightly. My free hand runs up his bare chest, feeling the softness of his skin under my fingertips as it goes back down, need pooling low in my belly.

"Love." He warns as he stops my hand from descending further.

"Loki."

"You need to rest." I huff at him but I can't exactly argue either, a chuckle escapes him but he rubs his nose across my cheek until he's at my ear. "I'll offer you a deal."

My skin tingles as he kisses my neck, his hand unclasps from mine and slides into the shirt I'm wearing, grazing my thigh as his hand moves up before stopping on my hip, his thumb rubbing slow circles against a sensitive spot near my groin.

"What kind of deal?" My voice is breathy as my attention focuses on his touches.

"Sleep some more and if you can stand up without help when we wake." He pauses to bite gently on my ear, a shallow moan escapes me. "I'll give you what you want."

His nose bumps against my cheek as he looks back at me with a raised eyebrow. I chew on my lip for a moment, torn between knowing I needed to get better but also knowing how much I wanted him.

"Promise?" I ask him quietly.

"Trust me, my need to make sure you are alright is the only thing stopping me from burying myself in you right now." My insides turn to liquid at the lowness of his voice. "Do we have a deal?"

"Yes." I whisper and he leans down, kissing me gently before lying beside me.

I roll to face him so our heads stay close but my eyes lose focus as I'm reminded of my dreams. I can almost feel the cold of the stone on my skin and the fear of weakness I felt just hours ago claws at my chest.
