Footsteps
Footsteps
Footsteps
A voice
Him...

"Hello Millie." He said removing my hair from my face.
Him...
"How are you doing today?" he asked.
His voice is coming from a distant, but his palm is on my face. How?
I blinked trying to keep my eyes open.

"Millie." He called.
This time his voice was closer. He continued caressing my cheek.
My throat was dry. Extremely dry. How long haven't I drank some water?
"Here. You must be thirsty." He said offering me a glass of water. Did he read my mind?
I took two huge gulps and inhaled the liquid.

He had this arrogant look on his face. He was proving a point. He was in charge.

"Glad to see you're doing better."
"Home." I whispered, yet I couldn't remember where home was.
He crouched next to me. His face close to mine. Our nose barely touched.
"Here is your home." He whispered.
"Home."
"Here is your home. I am your family." He said in a low tone.

NO
NO
NO

"No." I said weakly.
I couldn't remember much, but I had this voice inside me telling me he was lying. He was anything but family. Here was anything but home.

Danger.
Danger.
Danger.

"Danger." I said looking at him. I tried to point at him but something pulled my hand back. I looked around and noticed I was tied up to the bed.

Danger.
Danger.
Danger.

"You were in danger, but you are safe now." He said.
He screamed evil. I couldn't trust him. How was I safe when I was tied up to the bed.
"You're lying."
"If you are referring to your hands and legs being tied up, it's because of your psychiatric history. After all, you tried to kill me."

ME?
I tried to kill him?!
'NO! LET ME GO!'
'STOP! LET ME GO!'
"lie." I said again.
"Very well." He stood up.

NO
NO
NO

"No." I said.
But it was too late.
He brought the machine.
My body trembled.
I got electrocuted.
I became unconscious.
Again.
