123 years later...

It's been 123 years since the end of the fellowship. Aragon has past on, and his son Eldarion was left the throne. Legolas, Tauriel and Gimli traveled to the corners of the world. They visited Lake Town, walked through the paths of Mirkwood, and many more. But finally they ventured to their final point. Tauriel rode into the Grey Havens, having Gimli and Legolas at her side. The beautiful stone city surrounded them, the sun was falling; creating a bright light the shawn across the city and on to the harbor.

There a boat with white sails laid beside the harbor ready to sail to the undying lands. Tauriel walked through the city and sat at the edge of a stone wall. The city looked the same, except her mother was not there. The sun sailed and she strayed out of thought, the moon, the stars. It was time to leave. "The sun is falling. Our departure is upon us, are you ready?" Tauriel looked over to see Legolas as he placed his hand upon hers. His hands were soft, full of comfort. "What do you see, upon the horizon?" Tauriel breathed as she turned to face him. He looked down then up, facing the horizon. "I see grey ships sailing into the west. I see them vanishing into the light. The west has much allure."

"I suppose these are our last moments on Middle Earth." There was a sadness in Tauriel's voice. All she ever knew was this world, not any other. She was born and raised in this earth, this place with many flaws. But much beauty. "I suppose so." The silent air was interrupted with a loud and inpatient voice. "Are you young rascals really! Time is not a friend to a dwarf." Gimli yelled from below, "especially not this one!" Tauriel smiled as she nodded that they were going to come down.

Legolas looked at Tauriel, "our journey ends." He said, yet Tauriel smiled, "and other begins." She looked out into the west and muttered, "it's a dangerous world." "Indeed it is, and I will stand by you through the dark and light." Legolas breathed. And he took her in his arms and kissed her under the sunlit sky, and cared not that they stood high upon the walls in the sight of many.

And it is The End of this journey.

But The Beginning of a new....
