Chapter Twenty-two

Sam's Pov
Hearing about Vanessa's friend Rashaun, it really made me see a lot more of her. It made me realize how strong she is. How much she's been through.

She's so strong and it makes me so proud of her. I know it probably hurt her so bad, watching and remembering everything that happened that day.

I was getting ready to go Vanessa's old school for her to speak. This is where Vanessa has grown up. This is her life here.

I got dressed into long tan khaki pants with a long sleeve white shirt. I put on white vans and my gold watch.

I walked out of the bedroom and saw Vanessa eating breakfast. She was all dressed up and she looked stunning. I wish she was all mine.

She could probably think that I've gotten over her but that is so wrong.

Vanessa's Pov

I was dressed in a grey high neck crop top with light colored high waisted jeans. I had on Stella McCartney cara snake printed leather flats. I slung over a Marc Jacobs beige leather bag. I put on a gold heart watch and had my hair curled.

I heard the bedroom doors open and I knew that it was Sam figuring since we were rooming together in the hotel room.

I felt him staring at me and it was making me think that I didn't dress up enough. I looked up from my phone and damn.

He looked so good. He looked so good in white. I felt the milk from my cereal fall out of my mouth. I put my hand over my mouth and giggled.

He laughed at me and I smiled at him. He walked over to the kitchen area and got a bowl and milk and cereal and a spoon.

He sat down next to me and did the cereal routine then started eating it. There was milk running down his chin and I just watched him eat. I know it might sound creepy but it was hot.

I heard my phone start ringing and I quickly snapped out of my thoughts and answered my phone. It was an unknown number but I still decided to answer it. Maybe it would be a fan calling who found out my number. I get it a lot.

"Hello?" I answered sweetly.

"Is this Vanessa Montez?" Some girl said kind of rudely.

"Yeah, pretty sure." I laughed at my stupid remark.

"If you go to your old school today, you'll regret it for the rest of your life." The girl started laughing and I heard laughing in the background too.

"What are you talking about?" I asked and Sam looked at me questioning.

"You'll find out if you go." And with that, the girl hung up the phone.

I put my phone down and I was honestly scared to go today.

"What's wrong? What did they say?" Sam asked looking at me.

"Do you really wanna know?" I laughed nervously.

"Of course." He smiled.

"Well some girl just called me and told me that if I go to the school and speak today then I'll regret it for the rest of my life. I don't really know what to expect." I said looking at my hands.

"Well whatever happens, just ignore it. I'm on your side, not theirs and I have your back. Just don't think about it and go and speak about whatever you're speaking about and make it damn good lil mama." He got up out of his chair and pulled me up and in for a hug.

"Thank you Samuel." I laughed and messed up his hair.

"We should get going." He said fixing his hair.
