As he walked his hand swung by his side "When I first phased I had no idea what was happening to me" it was peaceful as we walk along LaPush beach I look at Sam as he spoke his hand bumping mine as we walked making me crave his touch "it was so painful, I had the highest fever I've ever had, the body aches and I couldn't stop shaking" I frown feeling my heart ache for him "Sam that sounds horrible" I whisper before finally placing my hand in his feeling comfort instantly he smiles at me softly stopping in the Sand facing me and pushing a strand of hair out of my face "once I phased I ran to the woods, I didn't come back until our elder Quil senior found me days later, explained the ledgends and explained to me how to phase back, he told me I was the first wolf and they hadn't been expecting me to phase" I raise an eyebrow and "what do you mean?" He chuckles and sits on the sand facing the water and patting the spot next to him  before continuing to talk as I sit "Jacob Black is a direct descendent  to our last tribe chief Ephraim Black, it was expected that he would phase  if anyone were too but that changed"  he chuckles "I'm Alpha and we did offer to Jacob that if he one day would like to take his rightful place as Alpha  once his controlled his anger than he could but he has no intentions of doing that" he admits , apparently Jacob Quil and Embry were the packs newest members "does that mean .. I would phase?" He shakes his head no "we have no evidence of a woman ever phasing so until that happens I'll say no, the phase has to be triggered by the enemy" I raise an eyebrow "the enemy?" He nods looking out to the water "my first phase was after the Cullen family had returned to Forks" I frown "the Cullen family?"  How did they play a part in this? I remember Paul calling them leeches and any time he knows I've seen them his on edge but I just thought he was being rude .. was I wrong "what could the Cullen have to do with that?" I finally ask and he sighs looking at me "They're Vampires" I stare at him in shock "Vampires?" He sighs looking at me as if he were searching for the right words "we are giant wolves skylar ... they are our enemies and the reason we have to protect the tribe and humans in this area"  I stare at him in shock I had known Alice for years she was one of my closest friends, she was my stylist, Rosalie was even Nikita's god mother !  "That's why we don't like you going there ... when your on their land Skylar I can't protect you" he admits almost as if he was chocking on the words "it's not up to you to protect me Sam" I whisper and he shakes his head his warm brown eyes studying my face "your wrong Skylar... your the reason I live" my breath hitches and the butterflies in my stomach went crazy "The second I met you my whole world changed, you heard Jared say he had imprinted this morning ?" He asked and I nod  unsure of what else to say , I didn't trust my voice to not waver he sighs smiling softly "When a shape-shifter imprints on a specific girl or woman, he becomes unconditionally bound to her for the rest of his life"  he admits I look to the sand  and frown

I had begun to grown strong feelings for Sam and now I'm getting told that one day he may imprint on another woman  "you say that as if you've experienced the feeling" he grins happily "I have , I was the first to imprint" my heart sunk "its a feeling that's one of a kind , It's not like love at first sight, really. It's more like... gravity moves... suddenly. It's not the earth holding you here anymore, she does... You become whatever she needs you to be, whether that's a protector, or a lover, or a friend.... Anything she needs" I felt broken he was in love with someone "Skylar Lahote you are my imprint" and just there my heart stopped  and I look at him  he looks nervous  and I open my mouth to say something then instantly snap it shut and frown thinking "please Sky say something"  he whispers making me try to form a sentence in my mouth "so that means..." I trail off and he smiles "that means that whatever you want out of this I will always be there for you"  I place my hand on his face "Sam from the second I met you I haven't been able to keep you off my mind" before he could reply I lean forward and kiss him wrapping my arms around him as he leans into the kiss his tongue swiping over my bottom lip making me allow him access  I let out a small moan as he lays back pulling me on top of him as his hands find my ass I bite his lip and pull away "Are you sure you can handle me?" I ask cheekily
