"Spiderman 2099, Miguel Ohara. I formed an elite strike force to help preserve the multiverse." He said in a strong husky voice.

'Multiverse?' She thought.

She shifted her body weight around looking up at him. "Wait, how did you get here?" She said as she continued to look up at him, "That watch, right?" She said as she sort of reached out to look at it better. "Yea, good guess," He said while pulling his hand away. "So you're from a-" she said until Miguel interrupted her, "Another universe, yes."

She stood there in awe.

'How was this possible?'

'There are more people like me out there?'

'What is a multiverse?'

Thoughts raced through her mind, till she saw the Vulture tower even taller behind him. She then looked behind him and raised her eyes. "Wait why are you-" He said before the Vulture pounced on him, sending the two of them flying. "Whoops" Whitney chuckled before swinging into action yet again.

Miguel struggled from getting the Vulture to stay still. "Don't laugh, it's not funny!" Miguel shouted as he tried to remain a tight grip on Vulture. "Wasn't laughing!" Whitney bantered back as she swung around the building grabbing bystanders and shooting her webs to get them to safety.

He was becoming more and more frustrated with this anomaly. His holographic mask then revealed his massive fangs as he brought them out to paralyze the Vulture. A piece of rubble flew at them causing Miguel's mask to come back on and the Vulture to start sporadically flying in zig zagged patterns. "Do something kid!" Miguel yelled as he struggled with the Vulture. Whitney was running on the ground below waiting for the perfect time to pounce into action.

"First off, I'm not a kid!" Whitney yelled back and then jumped, using her webs, to latch onto the Vulture.

"Secondly, I am doing something!" Whitney said as her webs started to glow blue which caused the blue part of her suit to glow as well. Miguel looked at the blue webs in a shocking awe.

"Wait a minute." He mumbled to himself, 'Her webs'

He used the Vulture as leverage before jumping off him, using his webs to land on the second platform in the arena. Whitney's now neon blue webs, sent a sort of venom into them causing the Vulture to freeze in mid air. All of his senses halted. He fastly fell to the ground as Whitney used her glowing webs to quicken his fall speed, slamming him into the ground. Miguel quickly threw one of his holographic traps to contain the Vulture while jumping down to the ground, meeting Whitney. Whitney was out of breath as she stumbled a little bit. Her spidersuit had a few cuts and marks on it from the battle.

Her spider senses then started going off as she frantically looked around. It was getting stronger and stronger. She stumbled even more as this aching sharp pain wouldn't stop. She winced in pain as she grabbed her mask and threw it off her face. Miguel glanced over at her, examining her. Whitney had long light brown curly hair and her cheeks were stained with a soft pink color. Her features were sharp, yet soft. She had white skin that hinted of warm tones. Miguel then snapped out of it, while silently cursing to himself, as he sent the Vulture back through the portal, still keeping an eye on Whitney as she winced in pain.

Whitney's spider senses then stopped as she looked at a pile of rubble. "Oh no." She said as her breath trembled. "No... No... NO! NO!" She yelled sadly as she ran to the big pile of rubble. Whitney used her super strength, and mainly adrenaline, to throw all of the large blocks to the side, revealing her father. Her eyes widened as she saw him, barely hanging on. "D-dad!" She cried, forgetting she was unmasked and in her spider suit. He faintly opened his eyes as he looked at spiderwoman, who was finally revealed to be his daughter. Miguel glanced over at this sight, to get her some time.

Her father was in his Chief of Police uniform as he reached out to hold her face. Whitney had tears running down her eyes as he held her face. "Dad please hang in there, I- I will get the ambulance I promise, I-" She pleaded until her dad softly shushed her. "W-Whitney, don't you worry, beautiful girl." He said faintly as he was slipping away. Her father examined her, and realized who she really was. He silently chuckled as he began to have a coughing spell. "Dad.." Whitney said as she placed her hand on his chest, comforting him. "I always knew you would do great things." He said as his voice got weaker.

Whitney's heart was breaking. "Dad please stay with me-"

"Don't you worry, spiderwoman" her father cut her off as his hand fell beside him and his eyes shut. Whitney started hyperventilating as she looked at her dad. "Dad, no! You can't leave me! Please! No," she said while crying over him. Miguel watched the whole thing and felt so much sympathy. He then was compelled to go comfort her.

'I don't need to get attached.'

'I just met her, but...'

'I don't even know her'

'It was part of cannon, there is nothing I could have done.'

His thoughts raced.

His body took over more than his mind as he quickly ran up behind her and grabbed her waist pulling her against his chest as she sobbed, trying to isolate her. He then pulled her away to a spot where no bystanders could see her without her mask on. She then turned around while facing his chest and fell to the ground and sobbed.

Miguel was never one to show so much compassion so soon, because it made him uncomfortable. But he felt protective over her in this moment. He stood near Whitney as she mourned over her father. He felt sympathy for her. He didn't know if he should comfort her, so he just left her alone, giving her time to process everything.

Whitney then gained her composure as she looked down at her shaking hands. "I-I'm sorry you had to see that." she said softly as she looked up at him, still in his mask. Miguel shook his head and said, "Do not apologize. I am sorry you had to see that"

She grabbed her own mask putting it back onto her saddened face before going back out there to alert the cops about the chief's death. Miguel's presence still lingered as he was fighting with his own emotions.

'Do I ask her to join?'

'No don't be ridiculous, I just met her and have no files on her'

'But she was a good fighter, especially her webs.'

He then let out a long sigh as he placed his hands on his hips. "Ay qué diablos" while shaking his head.

Whitney then walked to where Miguel was, still, standing as she looked up at him. "Can I join?" She said with a serious tone. Her heart felt so numb and she had no one left in this dimension anymore. Miguel raised an eyebrow under his mask and paused for a brief moment. He then opened up a huge colorful portal as he turned around. Whitney tilted her head before Miguel threw her a watch. "Join the club."

Miguel then entered the portal, leaving Whitney alone. She gave her world one more look before slowly entering the portal and leaving her crumbling place behind.
