Flashing lights. People running and people video taping. The night sky glows bright with the moon guiding the light. The stars are shiny, glimmering down onto everyone. A car flipped upside down with a phone ringing repeatedly.
"I got a pulse!" A medic shouts pulling her fingers from Y/n's neck and glances to her right grabbing the needed supplies. Another medic on the outside of the driver door. The girl medic inside the vehicle to get Y/n the best possible care.
"That phone won't stop going off," the guy spoke. "We need to answer."
"We need to make sure this person's okay first. Let's secure her then answer," the girl spoke, focusing all she could on an upside down Y/n. "I don't see any visible damage. Place the neck brace around her neck and then get the back board in here."
Swiftly they work. They move fast. The phone stops ringing then starts again. Blood spills down Y/n's head. Glass everywhere. The phone stops again.
"Okay. Okay. Count of three and I'm unbuckling the seatbelt. Make sure to catch them Leo," the girl spoke, looking across to her partner.
"I got it Ocean. I got it," Leo says getting himself prepared. Ocean nods and takes in a deep breathe before reaching up and unbuckling the seatbelt. Y/n falls fast but Leo's faster and manages to catch the girl before she fully hit the ground. He maneuvers her out, carefully onto the backboard, slowly with the help of a few firefighters they pull Y/n out, checking for any more damages. Ocean grabs the phone and gets out of the car. The phone lights up and several missed calls and texts appear. A heavy sigh escapes her lips walking around the car to where Leo's beginning compressions.
Swiftly Ocean hits the one name and places the phone to her ear. The sound of the phone ringing causes Ocean's stomach to twist and ache as her eyes look down at the unconscious, dying girl.
"Y/n? Are you okay? Where are you?" A girl's voice spoke with panic. Ocean shakes her head as she watches Leo and two other firefighters lift Y/n up onto a stretcher. Leo still performing compressions.
"Sorry this isn't Y/n. I'm a paramedic with who I assume is Y/n. They've been in a serious car accident. We're on the way to the hospital now..." Ocean speaks. Conversation is light. Directions to which hospital and the condition Y/n was in. Ocean didn't give much. Only the hospital name before hanging up. She keeps the phone on her and hurries to the ambulance, climbing into the driver's seat.
"Hold on Y/n. We're getting you to that hospital," Ocean whispers to herself starting the sirens and speeding out of there.
It's not long before the ambulance pulls up to the emergency entrance and pulling up to a stop. Leo continues CPR. The back doors open. Doctors awaiting and asking for what's going on. However a woman pauses. Her eyes filling with tears seeing Y/n laying unconscious and their chest being pumped.
"My baby," the woman whispers. Doctors and nurses rushing to get Y/n into the hospital. The woman's eyes following before her legs do. In trauma room one there's machines beeping. Doctors shouting. Nurses frantically helping. The woman gets into the room as a nurse looks at her and gives her a questioning look. "That's my kid."
"Dr. Brooks leave the room now," another doctor says, glancing over his shoulder.
"I'm not leaving my kid Dr-"
"Dr. Brooks please...Leave the room. We got this," the doctor cuts her off. She backs up and the nurse shuts the door, pulling the blinds. Y/n's mother shakes her head, feeling tears slip down her cheeks. Her chest rising up and down rapidly. Her heart beating fast.
Inside the trauma room they call "CLEAR!" Leo stops compressions as they shock Y/n's heart. Everyone pauses. The chaos stops briefly. Everyone's eyes on the heart monitor. But no change.
"Charge to 250!" The head doctor shouts, and Leo goes for compressions again. The nurse charges the device. Everyone working on the bleeding injuries Y/n's inquired from the accident.
"CLEAR!" Leo steps back as does everybody. The doctor places the devices back on, shocking the girl's heart. Hesitation fills the room. Low breathes are heard. Leo stares at the girl, clenching his jaw as Ocean stands in the corner nodding.
"Come on...Come on," Ocean mumbles to herself. The head doctor shakes his head.
"Charge again! Continue compressions!" He shouts. Leo goes right back. No hesitation from his side. "PAGE NEURO!"
"The head neurologist is Y/n's father," a nurse spoke causing all eyes to go to the nurse then to the head doctor.
"Damn it!" He shouts and shakes his head. "Get him anyway! CLEAR!" Everyone steps away and the man shocks the girl again. Another round of silence occurs. Ocean bouncing her leg. Leo watching the girl's chest. The head doctor shakes his head and goes to speak when the machine beeps. "We got life!"
Swiftly everyone goes back to work. Ocean and Leo step to the side. The doctors and nurses working on Y/n who stay lay unconscious but with a pulse.

"What the hell happened to my kid?" Dr. Brooks, the father, shouts walking into the room. His eyes scanning over his unconscious kid. He walks over and his face drops seeing all the cuts and bruising all over his daughter's body. Her head being attended by a fellow colleague, trying to stop the bleeding.
"Car accident. We only paged you because you're the only one in the building and we can't wait," the head doctor speaks, fixated on the girl's legs and stomach. "We need to get to surgery now!"
Y/n's father stands there. Hesitation in his eyes looking down at his only kid. He shakes his head as they prepare to move Y/n out of the trauma room and down to an operating room.
"Dr. Fisher, run down and let the nurses know we need an OR!" The head doctor shouts. An intern runs out of the room, swiftly. "Dr. Brooks, get your head together for your kid. Her life depends on it!"
They rush out the room. Dr. Brooks, Y/n's father rubs his hands over his face and nods before taking off out of the room. When he exits his eyes instantly lock with his wife.
"Save her," she whispers through tears. Dr. Brooks nods and takes off down the hall where they roll Y/n off too.
