(This chapter is where things will slowly change the lore of DxD, if you have a problem with that then stop reading now and I hope you enjoyed the story this far. Now that that's out of the way, let's begin.)
F/n pov
I stood in a field of flowers, the sun shining, the birds singing. Nothing could ruin this picturesque scene. Suddenly I heard the sound of gunshots and explosions, I looked to my left and saw the war that I left behind me. To the right I saw a war that could possibly happen, behind me I saw acres of tombstones, turning back around I saw what could be my future. I saw Rias, Death, and two women I didn't recognize along with a few kids running around. I suddenly heard the whistling of a bomb, and suddenly where my future had stood a crater was what remained. I screamed my lungs out, suddenly everything turned white.
I then woke up and I yelled no. I looked around and I saw that I was in a medical gown in the hospital in New Berlin. I looked and I saw Rias sitting in a chair asleep. I saw her start to move and she rubbed her eyes, she blinked and she saw that I was awake.
She got up and ran to me, she threw herself onto me wrapping her arms around me. I suddenly heard her begin to cry. I held her at arms length and I saw that she had tears in her eyes.
"What's wrong Rias?" I asked.
"I thought I was gonna lose you." she said crying.
I placed my forehead on hers.
"You'll never lose me love." I said.
"Y-You promise?" she asked.
"I promise." I said.
I then brought her face just a few inches away from me, and I looked into her eyes. She closed her eyes and she brought her lips to mine, we then kissed for a few moments. Those few moments seemed like they could go on forever, after those few moments we parted and Rias had a smile on her face.
"You were my first kiss, I'm happy." she said.
"I'm glad you're happy Rias." I said.
The next few hours were doctors and nurses coming in to check on my status and after they cleared me I went home. I walked through the door and was immediately greeted by Erica, Death, and surprisingly Kuroka. I hugged them all and once I was done getting welcomed back I had to continue working on the reports that I had left to go help Rias defeat the Fallen Angel Kokabiel. Once that was done I had to update the fitness reports for the Heer, Lufftewaffe, and the new Kriegsmarine. After those were done and filed I had to work on the payment plans for New Berlin citizens, the military, and the government. After those were filed I had to think of items to put small taxes on since I can't just keep making funds continuously which intern inflates the economy and later the economy collapses so I need to print new money every two months. The amount I print will be sufficient to go just slightly past the two months mark and whatever bills aren't in circulation will be burned to make new bills.(I know very boring so far.)
After four hours and twenty five minutes I finished all of my paperwork and I was on my way out of the apartment when I heard Kuroka talking to someone. I walked back to her apartment door and I saw it was cracked open. I looked into the apartment and I saw Kuroka was talking with Ophis through what looked like a cloud.
K: Do we really need to go through with this?
O: Yes, since Chancellor F/n has not joined the Khaos Brigade yet he is to be made an enemy and thus must be eliminated.
K: I can't kill him, he's done so much for me.
O: It won't matter if you do it or not since he will be at the peace summit than he will be killed non the less. However if you don't do it before then consider your little sister history.
K: I won't do it, I'll die before I kill the man I love.
O: Then your choice is made, I would say goodbye to your little sister before you don't have the chance. After those words the connection seemed to end, and I knocked on the door. Kuroka jumped in the air about an inch.
"Kuroka it's me, I heard everything. I need you to come with me. You're not in trouble, but we need to alert the three factions about what's going on." I said.
Koneko opened the door and she was wearing a black Heer Officer Uniform, the last few buttons not being able to be buttoned.
"Let's go I need to get my sister somewhere safe, and I'll help you with the three factions." she said as she walked past me.
=====================================
I was currently sitting in a meeting room in the Chancellory in my best uniform, waiting for my guests to arrive. I had refreshments for everyone, and my loyal attendants, and multiple guards lined the room. Death was sitting in a chair to the left side of me rubbing her belly, and Kuroka was standing at attention at my right side. The solid oak double doors opened thanks to two soldiers who stood guard outside. After they opened the doors all of the leaders of the three factions walked in and after them their secondary leaders, I saw Rias and her peerage and then I saw the girl with the short black hair and glasses with what must have been her peerage."Welcome everyone please take your seats, and if I call your name please stand up." I said.
Everyone took their seats, and I saw a white haired man maybe just a little older then Rias looking around the room.
"Is there a Vali here?" I asked looking around keeping an eye on the white haired man.
The man I had my eye on stood up, he looked at me and I could see he was tense.
"Come over here a moment." I said while I stood up.
Vali walked over to me and he stood in front of me tense as can be.
As soon as he was standing before me, I tapped a finger on the table and he was in a pair of magical handcuffs I had specially crafted by the leaders of the Devils, the leaders of the Angels, and the leaders of the Fallen Angels.Vali cursed my name as he tried to change into his balance breaker. I sent a quick right hook to his temple and he crumpled to the ground. I motioned for two guards to bring him away from the table. I then sat back down.
"Now that that is taken care of, we can begin."
