Chapter 12: Operation Dragon

F/n pov

It's been a few months since the Peace Summit and I was currently sitting at my desk in my office doing some paperwork for budgeting as well as signing paychecks for the military members. I had tried to call Rias multiple times today to ask if she would like to go on a date with me sometime this weekend when I will have time, but I could never get through. I just assumed that she was busy with her Devil work so I let it be for now. I then heard a knock on my door and I told whoever it was to come in, the door opened to reveal one of the guards with someone I didn't expect to see me by themselves.

"Mr. Hyoudou how can I help you today?" I asked putting the cap on my fountain pen and setting it down on my desk.

He looked nervous, almost like he was scared to tell me something.

"Well spit it out already." I said looking at him over the rims of my glasses.

"I need to ask two big favors." he said in a slightly low tone.

"Oh, well come and sit down boy I won't bite." I said gesturing to a chair in front of my desk.

He slowly walked forward and he sat down staring at the floor.

"I do hope you have manners, please look me in my eyes when you speak to me." I said.

He looked at me and it looked like he was about to cry, I felt my fatherly instincts kick in.

"What's wrong boy?" I asked concerned.

"I-It's Rias and Asia sir." he said.

"Tell me everything." I said calmly.

He then told me everything about what has transpired the last few weeks, about a Devil named Diodora Astoroth and how he proposed to Asia as well as how he was the one who ended up getting her labeled as a heretic. He then told me about what happened today, which was how Rias and Asia were abducted by Diodora and were taken to another plain of existence.
I could slowly feel my anger rising but I kept my cool, and let him finish speaking.

"So what do you need from me?" I asked.

"I need you to release Vali Lucifer and help me save Rias and Asia with the help of Vali and the ORC." he said.

"Alright Mr. Hyoudou, I can do that." I said before standing up.

I was in my dress uniform standing with Issei, the ORC, and Vali Lucifer and a few of his allies in front of Diodora. I saw Asia and Rias in what looked like bone shackles, I could feel Issei starting to get angry. The next following moments would be the fastest of be ever seen someone get their ass kicked. Issei went into something called a Balance Breaker and proceeded to beat Diodora to a pulp. After that was said and done he freed Asia and I freed Rias from their respective shackles, after this Asia said that she wanted to pray for a moment. As she prayed a golden light enveloped her and when it disappeared she was gone. Everyone was stunned. Suddenly a portal opened and a Devil slowly came out of it, Diodora recognized him and after only speaking with the new Devil for a few moments the Devil killed Diodora.

"Who are you?" I asked him.

"I am Shalba Beelzebub, and I will destroy you." he said then all of a sudden a beam of light shot out from his hand and it pierced Rias's gut and one of her lungs.

She screamed out in pain and as she did blood came out of her mouth, she looked at me and began to walk towards me. She started to stumble, but I caught her in my arms. Her blood soaked into my uniform, and I felt tears starting to come from my eyes.

She placed her hand on my cheek and smiled, I held her hand and I could feel her life force slowly leaving her body. I began to give medical attention to her, as I spoke to her. After I felt she was stable I used a portal and sent her to the best hospital in New Berlin. I then sent a mental message to Death about what happened and she said that she would head there immediately.

I then turned to the Devil named Shalba and I could feel an immense amount of power begging to be let free. Then words seemingly appeared in my mind.

Akeno pov

I looked at F/n and I could feel power radiating from his body, it was immense.

"Release restraint level zero." said F/n in just a barely audible tone.

Suddenly it was as if we were standing next to a living reactor, so much power radiated off him that it hit us like an explosion. His power was practically visible it was scarlet red mixed with black. He took a step toward Shalba and the ground cracked with everystep he took.

"You, the one who calls himself Shalba. You hurt one of the woman whom which I love, and for that I will have your head." said F/n.

Suddenly he disappeared and then just as sudden he was standing next to Shalba and he punched Shalba in the face making him fly towards a pillar. Shalba crashed into it making it crack. I saw a blank look on F/n's face but in his eyes I saw a raging inferno of pure hatred and anger. I was barely able to keep track of him due to how fast he was going, he was beating Shalba to a pulp. I looked at Issei who was looking at where Asia was earlier, I turned to see that Vali was gone and so were his allies. I turned back to the beating that was being dealt out to Shalba. I slowly started to feel my body warm up as I watched F/n mercilessly beat Shalba.

Mmmm he's amazing, I wonder if they will share him.

Finally F/n stopped his onslaught and Shalba was just a pile of blood, black, and blue. His face was barely recognizable, he most likely had multiple broken bones possibly shattered even. F/n then summoned a pistol and aimed it at Shalba.

"P-P-Please don't kill me, have mercy." Shalba begged.

"I'm all out of mercy." F/n said before he put multiple rounds into Shalba's head.

Suddenly Vali and one of his allies reappeared and with them was Asia who was currently unconscious.

I went to Issei and I showed him that Asia was okay, and then I felt the power from F/n slowly dissipate until he was back to himself.

I walked up to him and I pulled him into a hug, he slowly returned the hug and I felt him pass out. He snored lightly into my ear his exhales tickling my ear.

F/n pov

I was back in the field of flowers, I looked around and I could see Rias, Death, the two mystery woman, and surprisingly Akeno. There were more kids running around behind me there was no longer a graveyard, to my left the war of my past was gone, and to my right the war of my future was gone as well. I turned back to the picnic and I saw Rias motioning me to join them. I walked forward and I sat down, I noticed that one of the mystery woman had animal ears and multiple tails. What was odd is that they were simply shadows. I looked at each of the woman and Rias, Death, and Akeno all had smiles on their faces. Then I noticed a version of me surrounded by scarlet red and black energy and I noticed him holding a scythe. I got up and I walked towards him, he smiled slightly at me.
"Do you know what I am?" He asked.
"No I don't." I responded
"I am the manifestation of your reaper, your power that you gained by working for Death all of those years. I only appeared now and during your quick fight with that Fallen Angel because of something happening to one of the woman you love." He said.
"You used your full power of The Reaper thanks to releasing full restraint, you're welcome by the way." He said.
"Thank you, did Rias make it?"
My reaper simply nodded and then I woke up.

I was lying in a hospital bed, and I looked around and I saw Rias, Akeno, and Death sitting in chairs next to my bed. They were asleep so I decided to stay quiet, and I noticed that I had an IV drip in my arm. The door opened and a nurse walked in, she noticed I was awake but I quickly made a sush motion and she nodded her head before leaving the room closing the door softly behind her.

The future keeps getting interesting, I wonder what will happen next.
