a confrontation with Byakuya

Makoto was back to the same day where Byakuya killed him and while he really wanted to just not go to the library so he doesn't die, he knew that wouldn't help because Byakuya would just find someone else to kill.

He did everything the same as last time and was now in front of the library door. He didn't go in immediately, he took a deep breath first before walking in. "Great, now not only do I have to deal with a terrible smelling girl, but I also have to deal with a talentless moron." Byakuya complained . It felt like deja vu

"Hey Byakuya, can I talk to you for a minute?" Makoto asked as seriously as possible. "If it isn't something about you finding an escape then no." Byakuya said, clearly bothered by Makoto's presence. "Well it has to do with you wanting to kill me." Makoto said sitting down on a chair he placed adjacent from Byakuya

"And just how were you able to find out about that?" Byakuya said, intrigued. "Well let's just say a certain serial killer told me." Makoto lied, but Genocide Jill wasn't awake so she couldn't confirm or deny that info

"Why would you tell him?" Byakuya looked at toko with anger. "I-I don't share the same t-thoughts as her so I don't know why s-she would tell him." Toko said, looking ashamed despite the fact she technically did nothing wrong.

"That aside, do you really need to kill me?" Makoto asked. "You're just a fool Naegi, you do nothing more than delay the inevitable, and the more motives are added, the harder it will be for you to do so." Byakuya explained his reasoning.

"So what? You're just planning to start the killing?" Makoto said, slightly angry. "Exactly, you're at least good at catching on." Byakuya scoffed at him. "Don't you think that's the weak way out?" Makoto said.

"Huh?" Byakuya sounded confused. "For the heir to the Togami corporation, I would have thought you strong enough to protect people but in the end, it seems you're just as weak as everyone else." Makoto said in a slightly condescending tone.

"Are you trying to call me weak?!" Byakuya got up from his chair. "Well a strong person wouldn't try to start killing, now would they?" Makoto also got up from his chair. Byakuya ended up grabbing and lifting Makoto up

"You listen here, I am Byakuya Togami, heir to the Togami corporation, and you have no right to talk back to me." Byakuya's words were loud and authoritative but Makoto didn't flinch. "You can get mad at me, but you know my words are true. Nothing good will come from you starting the killing game." Makoto said, looking Byakuya directly in the eyes.

Byakuya threw Makoto at the ground. " Just get out of here." Byakuya commanded. "Not until you promise to not kill anyone." Makoto tried to sound just as authoritative. "So long as you just get out of here!" Makoto never saw Byakuya so angry before, it must be a rare occurrence for someone to talk back to him

"Good." Makoto got up and left the library. He was quite unsure if he had fixed the problem but all he could do now was wait to see if he would kill anyone. Makoto sighed and went back to the usual routine of acting through things he'd already seen.

Makoto woke up from his sleep by the sounds of knocking on his door. Makoto got up slowly, trying to fully wake up. He checked the time on his pocket watch. It was 6 AM, who the heck could be knocking at his door at this time?

Makoto went to the door and opened it. To his surprise, it was none other than Chihiro. "H-Hey, Makoto, sorry for waking you up this early." Chihiro said, looking really embarrassed. "It's okay, but what do you need at this time of day?" Makoto said as he rubbed his eyes

"W-Well, it's Alter Ego, he's saying a lot of really weird stuff and I don't know how to deal with it and since you're the smartest person I know, I thought I should ask you." Makoto was surprised, him? Smart? He wasn't really, it was more so that he just understood his friends.
