Mila's POV

"So how'd it go with carrot-head last night?" Draco said, stuffing his face full of food.

"It went perfectly-" I said, realizing the words that had escaped my lips. "Meaning he's definitely falling for it... and this prank is going to be great..." I covered up.

"It's going to be so funny when he realizes he's been played by his own game." Pansy giggled.

"You guys do know that the pranks him and his brother do aren't the same kind of prank we're doing right?" Blaise brought up. Draco and Pansy just shrugged.

"When do you plan on you know, finishing the prank?" Draco asked.

"Uh... in a while. The longer I go on with this the better his reaction will be." I said.

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"I'm gonna go." I sighed.

"Where?" Pansy asked me. Draco looked at her weirdly, and she glared at him.

"To find Fred." I said, picking up my robes and putting them on.

"It seems to me like this isn't about the prank anymore." Draco huffed.

"Oh, shut up. it's not like that." I growled, and left.

Fred's POV

I was walking through the halls after classes, when I saw Mila running towards me. My face went into an instant smile.

"Someone wanted to see me," I said with a smirk. She smiled, and I felt hypnotized.

"Maybe I am. Hey, are we going to talk about last night?" she asked.

"What is there to talk about?"

"Well... I got soft on you. I don't 'go soft'." she sighed.

"I've noticed. I thought it was cute. Nice." I said. I regretted saying cute. I definitely took it too far. I braced myself to be hit or something, but she just giggled.

"Fred, you're a character" she said, through her laugh.

"A good character, or one of those characters that everyone wants to kill?" I asked with another smirk.

"It varies from moment to moment," she said, and I pretended to look offended.

"I was thinking of going to Hogsmede since that's the only thing to do around here," I mentioned. "I'd love for you to come with"

"I guess I should since I turned you down last time," she laughed. "Yeah, I'll come. Were you going now or later?"

"Now. If that's alright."

"That's fine."

I started to run down the halls with a smile on my face to the entrance of the school. I turned behind me to see her standing there confused yet with a smile on her face, and as I continued to run, she chased after me.

"Weasley..." A familiar raspy voice said. I stopped in my tracks, Mila not far behind. "You should know better than running in the halls."

"Sorry, Professor Snape." I sighed, trying to catch my breath.

"And Mila, I expect better from you," he hissed.

"It wasn't her. She was trying to catch up with me." I stood up for her. Not that she needed it.

"Very well, then." He said, and walked away like he owned the world.

"Why'd you do that?" She asked me.
