Mila's POV

I didn't sleep that night because I forced myself not to. Every time I closed my eyes I saw his bright orange hair and his amber eyes. I hated it.

I walked down to the common room the next morning, yawning. I didn't realize I was still in my pajamas.

"And then she asked me if I could obliviate her," Pansy said, and I rubbed my eyes, seeing her on the couch talking to Draco and Blaise.

"What are you guys talking about?" I said in my morning voice. I joined them on the couches and they all just stared at me without a word. "What?"

"You're still in your pajamas." Draco pointed out.

"Oh. I'll go change in a second." I said, yawning again.

"You didn't sleep much last night, did you?" Blaise asked, noticing the bags under my eyes and keeping note of the fact that I couldn't stop yawning and rubbing my eyes.

"If I was lucky, I got 10 minutes." I croaked.

"Why didn't you sleep?" Pansy asked.

"I don't know, stop asking questions." I hissed.

"Last night you told me to obliviate you, why?"

"I said to STOP ASKING QUESTIONS!" I shouted, and the three of them all bounced backwards. "It was nothing, I was just tired, now can we move on??"

"Um... yeah." Pansy whimpered. "We'll move on."

I stood up, walked out without a word, and went upstairs to change. When I came back down, I listened behind a pillar to see what they were talking about before I joined in again.

"She's definitely in a worse mood than normal." Blaise said. I watched as Pansy and Draco nodded nervously.

"She's nothing like her father. You would expect her to be a daddy's girl, but she's the least friendly person ever, I'm surprised she's at least somewhat friendly to us." Pansy said.

"Her father is kind of the worst though," Draco scoffed. "All he does is brag about his books that he can't even take the credit for."

"At least he doesn't have attitude problems," Pansy added.

"Wow." I said, stepping out from behind the pillar. "Out of all the people to talk behind my back, it's the only three people who I actually like at this school." The three of them stood up ready to defend their case, but it meant nothing since I had overheard their words and I wasn't happy about them.

"Mila, we're-" Pansy said.

"Shut it. I don't want to hear it." I said, coldly.

"We didn't-" Draco started.

"WHAT DO YOU NOT GET ABOUT SHUT IT?!" I shouted, and the other Slytherins in the common room all directed their heads towards me. I didn't care.

"We're sorry," Blaise said, in the calmest tone he could. I wanted to forgive them, but I was mad.

"I'm done." I sighed. "I'm done with this whole prank. If you guys are going to talk behind my back, I'm not going to have anything to do with Fred just so the four of us can laugh about it."

The three of them all exchanged glances.

"Mila, we're sorry. We're just worried about you." Blaise said. He was the only one who genuinely looked like he meant it.

"It's too early to just stop the prank," Draco said.

"Shut up, Ferret." I said, hitting him in the shoulder as hard as I could. He grabbed it as it started to sting. "You literally only care about the stupid prank, and not about my feelings."
