Fred's POV

I didn't want to follow, and clearly my legs didn't either, because soon, Blaise was pulling me by the arm behind him. It was obvious all three of us were nervous, and I think that's what little-miss-pink wanted.

We got to her office that was covered in pink decorations and paintings and pictions of cats every inch of the wall. She told us all to sit, and it was clear she wouldn't take no for an answer.

"I did some research at breakfast after miss Mila decided she would talk down to me like a rodent," She said. "You three are her best friends, aren't you?"

All three of us nodded after hesitating for a moment.

"Perfect. I need you three to talk some sense into miss Mila."

None of us looked like we were going to budge at her words. That wasn't what friends did.

"We're not going to do that, you're insane." Draco said. He looked like he was going to stand up and leave, but Umbridge quickly waved her wand, and he suddenly couldn't move.

"Draco, is it? A Malfoy?" She asked. Draco looked traumatized. She dug through her drawer, and pulled out a piece of paper and a quill. Blaise and I watched in fear and curiosity. "Take this," She said, handing him the quill. "I would like you to write I don't know everything ten times. You won't be needing any ink."

Draco looked hesitant, but he picked up the quill, and placed it on the page. As Draco wrote, his handwriting was in red. Suddenly he looked at his hand, and gripped it in pain. "What is this??" He shouted.

I got a quick glance of his hand. His handwriting was engraved in his hand in the exact words he was writing. His hand was dripping in blood, as Umbridge waited for him to continue writing it ten times. I couldn't imagine the pain as Draco's eyes started tearing up. Blaise and I were speechless. I couldn't help but picture it happening to Mila. Probably even worse would happen to her.

"Stop," I said. Umbridge, Blaise, and Draco all turned to me. "He shouldn't have to do that, this is cruel."

"Just a cruel punishment for a cruel boy," She hissed. "I take it that you would like a turn as well," She said, handing me an identical quill, and placing a piece of paper in front of me.

"Dumbledore wouldn't approve of this!" Blaise shouted, stopping me from starting to write.

Then there was a paper in front of all three of us, and a quill in all of our hands. All our hands were bleeding, and the pain was so much that I wanted to scream, but I couldn't even get any sound out of my mouth.

"You are all free to leave. See you in class," Her high pitched voice called after us as we left with our carved hands dripping in blood.

"Can we all agree on something?" Blaise asked. "We don't tell Mila about this," He said.

"Don't tell me what?" Mila's voice said from behind us. We all covered our hands at the same time, and turned around slowly.

Mila's POV

"Don't tell me what?" I asked them, after overhearing Blaise say something about not telling me about something. The three exchanged glances after turning around, and they all looked identical in the way they were standing. They were stiff as boards, and we all holding their left hands.

"Nothing, Mila. Just finished talking with Umbridge." Fred told me with a clearly fake smile.

"What did you guys tell her?? You need to stay out of it, just because I'm going to be in trouble with her doesn't mean you need to be on her bad side as well-" I said. Obviously they had went to talk to her and get mad at her for treating me the way she did.

"Actually, we didn't want to go talk to her. She called us into her office." Draco said. The other two glared at him.

"What do you mean?"

"We shouldn't just hide it from her, guys." Draco said, and lifting his right hand to reveal red all over his left hand. It was dripping.

Blood.

Fred and Blaise then did the same, revealing blood as well. I looked closer, and saw their handwriting engraved in each of their hands, and it looked deep.

"WHAT HAPPENED?" I shouted, running over to each of them, and gently touching their hands to inspect it.

"That bloody witch has some kind of torturous quill," Fred said.

"Okay, she's taken it WAY too far. Boys!" I cried. I jumped into all of them, hugging them as tears fell down my cheeks.

"Why are you crying?" Blaise asked me.

"She hurt all of you! Tell me, why would she do that except for the fact that you guys are my best friends? Obviously she was doing it because of me."

"It was worth it if it was for you," Fred whispered. I glared at him, upset by the fact that those words escaped his lips. I didn't want any of them getting hurt.

"Let's go clean the three of you up," I said. They all followed without arguing, and once we got to the common room, I started by taking Draco's hand. "This might sting," I warned him. I carefully dabbed his wound, and he made a hissing noise from the pain. I did it as quickly and gently as I could. "That feel better?"

"Thank you, Mila." He croaked. I waved over Blaise, and at first he was hesitant for me to help his wound. He already knew it would sting based off of Draco's reaction.

"It will only hurt for a bit," I reassured him. I picked up his hand, and started dabbing the wound lightly. At first he matched Draco's hissing, but then he looked up at me. "You alright?" He looked like he had something to say, but he shook his head. "I'm almost done," Once I finished, his eyes stayed fixed on mine. "Blaise, what's going on?"

"Nothing," He sighed, and walked back to the couch with a smile. I watched his smile drop as he looked down at his scar.

Last was Fred, and I took his hand easily. He was well prepared for the pain, and only flinched a bit the first time. "Never thought you could be so gentle," He joked. I rolled my eyes at him, and continued to clean up the blood.

"Never thought you could hold so still," I quipped back, and paused to look up at his priceless reaction. His smile was blinding as our eyes locked.

I finished cleaning up his hand, and he took mine and kissed the top of it. "Thank you, m'lady."

I tried to forget the feeling and move on, but it was still lingering in my mind.

"I want all of you to promise me that you won't get involved with Umbridge." I said, sternly. All three of them nodded.

"As long as you don't get involved with her either," Fred added.

"I promise," I said, but little did they know, I was crossing my fingers behind my back.

As soon as they left, I blew off my cover. I wasn't going to let Umbridge off the hook after what she did to the boys. Once I was sure they weren't nearby, I went on a hunt to find someone. If anyone was as good at pranks as Fred, it was his twin.
