[3] The Reveal

Aretusas POV:

I woke up to Zorro jumping on me telling me that I'm going to miss out doing patrol with Ladybug and Cat Noir.

"Ugh, I'm up, I'm up Zorro" I groaned while my little fox kwami giggled.

I rolled over and saw the time was 6pm. Great just gave me an hour before I have to meet Ladybug and Cat Noir. I blushed at the thought of Cat Noir being there. I shook my head and decided to go to the kitchen to get food, so I have at least something in my stomach. I found a box of mac cheese in the cupboard and started making that, while it was done my phone buzzed. I pulled out my phone to see that Hawky boy was calling me, I clicked answer.

Me: Hello Hawky and what do I owe the pleasure?

Hawkmoth: Enough with the sarcasm Aretusa. Have you gotten the miraculous' of Cat Noir and Ladybug yet?

Me: No, I haven't yet butterfly. But I have a plan though.

Hawkmoth: You have been given numerous of opportunities you get their miraculous' but you have failed me YET AGAIN.

Me: Hey! I'm trying my hardest here and it's not as easy as I thought it was going to be. Want to know my plan or not Butterfly?

Hawkmoth: *sighs* fine, what's your plan?

Me: Well, that's easy. Get close to Cat Noir first then figure out a way to nab the miraculous' or is that not good enough Mr Big Bad Butterfly Man?

Hawkmoth: Fine. I'll tell the people I Akumatized to help you out but don't get yourself caught or I will take Zorro away from you so you can be powerless for all I care.

Me: Yes sir.

With that Hawkmoth disconnected the call and I looked over to Zorro with worry and who was also looking at me the same way. I started to eat the Mac cheese from the pot then went to the fridge to get Zorro a punnet of Strawberries for her to snack on, so she was happy with that.

I went straight to my bedroom to sit on my bed with my head in my hands as Zorro flew up and rested on my shoulder, looking at me with worry.

"We got to get the miraculous' Zorro or I'm going to lose you." I said angrily as I threw the thing closest to me which was a remote at the wall, which frightened Zorro a little and I looked at her apologetically. Damn Hawkmoth for doing this to me. I will get out of his grasp once and for all.

"Zorro, Fox me up" I sighed and commanded. I transformed into my fox suit and jumped out my bedroom window to meet Ladybug and Cat Noir for the nightly patrol.

Cat Noirs POV:

I was patrolling the houses near the school because I had some time to kill before meeting up with Bugaboo and Madam Fox. I was perched on a rooftop just singing whatever tune came to mind and out of the corner of my eye I saw Ari in the kitchen stirring a pot of some type of food.

I jumped down to get a closer look at her without her noticing that I was watching her through the window. I can tell you now I'm definitely not a Stalker, I'm just looking after a Parisian and making sure she's safe from Akumatization.

As I was watching her, I heard her phone buzz. So, I just casually listened in on the conversation only for me to realize that maybe this was a bad idea.

As she picked up her phone, she put it on loudspeaker so I could actually hear what she and the other person on the line is saying only for me to realize it was Hawkmoth.

~30 minutes later~

I can't believe what I was hearing. Hawkmoth knew Ari, how though? Why? Like huh? I have soooo many questions at this point. But the one thing that got me the most was that she's teaming up with him to get mine and Ladybugs miraculous'...

Then I heard her throw something dark at a wall in frustration to which scared a little black fox kwami. Wait Kwami? She has a Kwami? Okay this girl definitely got secrets.

I put two and two together only for me to realize that this is Rainer Rougette and that little black fox is her Kwami. Then I noticed her ring which was shaped like a fox tail going up her finger, so that's her miraculous. That explains everything. I can't believe I wanted to date this girl or even thought of the idea of a relationship.

Then I heard her say "Zorro, Fox me up" and a black light shown through the bedroom and out jumped Rainer. So now I know her secret identity, but I can't say anything to Ladybug as I have no evidence to prove to her and I don't know how bad of a liar and a manipulator like Lila is, so possibly she could get away with it.

I turned on my heel and headed to the Eiffel Tower to start our nightly patrol.

As I got closer to the Eiffel Tower, I could see Ladybug and Rainer waiting for me. I jumped down in front of them.

"Bonjour Mi'Ladies. Fear not the Lovable Cat Noir is here" I greeted and bowed. Only for Ladybug to role her eyes and Rainer to giggle at what I said. That's adorable. No Adrien you can't let feelings get the best of you; she is not to be trusted.

"Sooooo what's the plan tonight?" Asked Rainer.

"Well, the plan is to get to know you Rainer since we haven't properly met." Says Ladybug. The look in Rainers eyes tells me that she's ready to leave or lie her way out of this.

"Uh... y-yeah. Sure, thing Ladybug..." Rainer stuttered.

"So, first things first. I know your name is Rainer Rougette. You're a black fox which is rare to say the least. But that's all I know of you. So, the question is, do you have a boyfriend or a crush of some sort?" Ladybug questioned Rainer and Rainer looked away and stared over the city of Paris with a sigh.

"Look, I don't have a crush nor a boyfriend, but I do have to tell you something thou-" but before Rainer could finish her sentence a bolt of lightning hit the middle of us 3 almost hitting us and them, I heard cackling after it.

I looked up and saw who it was...

Aretusas POV:

I was going to tell Ladybug and Cat Noir that I want to get out of Hawkmoths grip when suddenly a lightning bolt hit in the middle of us 3 almost hitting us and the sound of cackling following through it.

I looked up at who shot a bolt of lightning and almost hitting me to which pissed me off more. I crouched down and brought out my staff to hit the fucker that did this, and I realize it was none other than Stormy Weather...
