신아랑 Shin Arang's POV

Mijoo and I have been tirelessly working since school ended and it was 8pm. She kept complaining about being tired despite the fact that she sat down most of the time since she was a cashier. I was a fucking waitress.

I was in the back, drinking water when the host, Kim Kang-hoon, entered the back.

"Arang, I need you to attend Table 12."

I nodded my head and finished the water before walking out to Table 12. I pulled out my notepad and pen, ready to take their orders.

"Hi, welcome to Seoul Food. I'll be your wai-" I finally looked up at the customers and mentally cursed in my head.

"Arang, you work here?" Jihyo asked, surprised. Fuck, man. Can I not live privately?

"Ah, so that's why you didn't want to join us." Dahyun smirked at me devilishly. I hated my fucking life. That bitch. Ish.

"Fucking hell." I muttered under my breath. I saw the girls smiling amongst themselves and knew hell was coming. Sejeong, you fucking owe me big time.

"Are you ready to order?" I asked with a fake smile. I really wanted nothing to do with these devils.

"1 plate of jok-" Momo was about to order but she was cut off by Dahyun.

"We're not sure. What would you recommend?"

"I recommend you start by ordering the food. Like Moguri." I bluntly told Dahyun. Dahyun and I may have been close last time, but after everything that had happened last year, I wasn't the same Arang she knew.

"Yah, is this how you treat your customers?" Now it was starting to become an argument between the two of us.

"If the customers are you guys, yes." I shot back. Everyone pretended to be shocked and insulted by my comment which was funny, but I still remained stoic on the outside.

"Look, have you guys decided yet? I still have other tables to attend to and it's really packed tonight." I asked them. It was true. I had other tables to attend to because it was packed and there weren't enough staff tonight.

They gave me their orders and I left to attend other tables.

미나토자키 사나 Minatozaki Sana's POV

I was surprised to see Arang working as a waitress. I pictured her working in, like, a mechanic shop or something rugged, but seeing her in a waitress uniform was…different. It felt like Arang wasn't actually who I thought she was.

When we acted offended, she smiled a little, but I could tell that she was trying to hide it from us. Maybe her coldness and bitch attitude was just a facade.

"Sana!" I heard Jihyo calling my name, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Are you okay? You've been staring at your crush the entire time." Jihyo pointed out, making my cheeks and ears red.

"I don't have a crush on Arang." I defended myself against these laughing friends.

"I didn't mention a name." Jihyo added and I was embarrassed now. They were all laughing at me so I pouted.

Was Arang hot? Yea, sure. But did I have feelings for her? No, of course not. She was just a friend. Yeah, that's it. Nothing more.

신아랑 Shin Arang's POV

The entire time, Dahyun and Jihyo kept calling me, trying to irritate and annoy me with their nonsense while I had other important tables to attend to.

"Excuse me!" They called me again.

I was busy serving the table their food when they kept calling me and I couldn't appear rude in front of my other customers so I had to nicely tell them to wait for a moment, but regardless of it, they still called for me, making me even annoyed.

Unfortunately, annoyance distracted me when I accidentally spilled a customer's drink all over her. The whole table gasped, including TWICE.

"I'm-I'm so sorry, ma'am." I apologized repeatedly while dabbing her with my towel. The husband got pissed and started yelling at me, asking for my supervisor who came after hearing a huge commotion.

"What seems to be the problem?" My supervisor asked them.

"Are you blind? This incompetent prick spilled my wife's drink all over her!" He yelled at us, making everyone turn their heads.

"I'm sorry, sir. I will deal with her later. Let me-" My supervisor was about to say something else when that fat bastard interrupted him.

"No, I want you to fire her!"

"What? Why would I do that? She made a small mistake." My supervisor defended me. He was a really nice boss despite his seriousness.

"I'm the executive director of Channel 128! If you don't fire her, I'll make sure to tell everyone that you hire very incompetent workers and that your services are terrible!" He threatened my boss. My boss was trying hard to think of an alternative solution, but I had a better idea. An easier one.

"It's okay, Mr. Kim. I'll resign. I don't want your restaurant to suffer because of me. Thank you for hiring me in the first place." I bowed at him before excusing myself to the locker room to pack up my stuff and return my uniform.

Mr. Kim gave me an empathetic smile and a plastic bag with my dinner (the usual stuff I order after my shift).

"It's okay, Mr. Kim. I don't deserve it."

"Aniyo, take it. You have been an amazing employee. This is a thank you for your hard work along with your salary." He said as he handed me my dinner and my salary.

"Thank you, Mr. Kim. I hope you continue to be as successful, if not, even more successful in the future." I bowed at him and left.

I found Mijoo pouting at me, making me smile and chuckle a little.

"I can't believe you're leaving us." She hugged me and whined, making me giggle.

"If it saddens you, then quit. Join me in another job." She smiled at me and nodded her head.

"You already know I'm going to do that with Sejeong." I winked at her and ruffled her hair before leaving the restaurant.

After I got home, I saw my mom getting ready in the living room. I guessed she had another date with Jeong Bong-seok.

"Hey, Mom. I'm home." I announced my arrival and my mom looked at me shocked. I was slightly confused about it.

"Aish, I was about to surprise you at work with Bong-seok." My mom whined and I couldn't help but giggle at her.

"That would be a surprise, but I quitted." I explained to her. She was sad to hear about it, but I convinced her that it was great because I could focus on taekwondo.

MINUTES AFTER SHOWERING…

Mom left home and I was busy eating dinner…alone. The silence of the house was deafening, but I liked it that way. It allowed me to be vulnerable with myself since only I could understand my own thoughts and feelings.

Suddenly, someone knocked on the front door. I got up and walked towards it, opening it, but I immediately froze after being greeted.

"Hi."
