My imagination came to a stop at this chapter 😭

(Zenitsu's POV)

It's a sunny day, but not just ANY sunny day.

It was BURNING HOT outside.

I'm pretty sure that the floor could cook an egg in only a second at the point - nobody wanted to step out of the estate.

Out of boredom, Tanjiro, Inosuke and I decided to play a game named 'truth or dare'.

I really don't get the hype of the game, but ---

"AHAHAHA ZENITSU IS A PUSSY! HE'S TOO SCARED TO PLAY A SIMPLE TRUTH OR DARE GAME!"

"INOSUKE! SHUT YOUR MOUTH!"

And that's how I got dragged into this mess of a game.

Inosuke was loud. So loud that I regret not bringing my very-much-needed earplugs.

"TRUTH OR DARE, MONJIRO?"

"Dare", Tanjiro replied after some thinking. " It's Tanjiro, not Monjiro. Could you please lower your voice?"

TANJIRO! YOU ARE MY SAVIOR!

"Whatever." Inosuke huffed, crossing his arms briefly before perking up again. "If so… I dare you to fight me!"

Tanjiro and I both shot him a flat look, as if looking at an idiot

Seriously?! What does that idiot have in his brain except fighting???

"Inosuke, your previous dare was to stop trying to fight us for a day." Tanjiro reminded him with a sigh of relief.

"Monjiro..." Inosuke called out again, seemingly lost in thoughts before he grinned with a new-found idea. "I dare you to… IGNORE MONCHIRO FOR A DAY STRAIGHT! AND IF YOU FAIL, FIGHT ME- I MEAN, GIVE ME YOUR LUNCH!"

"You know I would give it to you even if you lost." Tanjiro said while letting the corner of his lips curl into a smile. "Does it start right now?"

"YES!" shouted Inosuke.

(Tanjiro's POV)

Precisely, at that moment of the day, Tokito-kun came to me.

Tokito-kun, I do love you but why now out of all the time of the day!?

This world is against me.

This coincidence is against me.

Everyone is against me.

AAAAAAAAHHHH!!

"Hey Tanjiro!" That voice snapped me out of my totally-not-howling.

It was the mist hashira in person.

The person I couldn't talk to.

What can I even do in this situation?!

Running is the solution.

With that thought, I grabbed Inosuke and Zenitsu by the collar of their uniform and ran away.

Sorry Tokito-kun! This had to be done!

The situation was quite comical.

Tanjiro was running, dragging his two friends along while a hashira that ran in an almost miraculous speed chased after them.

"Why did you think that giving me this dare was a good idea in the first place?!" I whisper-yelled at Inosuke. "You could have just said something like 'give me your lunch'!"
