AUTHOR POV :-
"Why the hell did you lie to her?" Jungkook's voice thundered, the force of his anger causing his usually calm façade to crack.
Eunji's own anger burned brightly as well. She wasn't accustomed to being berated by him, and she felt a surge of rebellion rise within her. "I didn't lie to her, Sir. You said--"
Jungkook's interruption cut through her words like a blade. "Oh, you stop it, Eunji. Repeating the same sentence again and again."
The atmosphere in his cabin was heavy with tension, a stark contrast to the usual air of professionalism. Eunji's fists clenched at her sides, her eyes flashing with a mix of frustration and defiance. She was determined to stand her ground, even in the face of Jungkook's anger.
"Stop your childish excuses," Jungkook's voice dripped with annoyance, his frustration palpable. "And clear it. Why did you tell Y/n that I called her?"
Eunji's teeth were gritted, her anger evident in every line of her tense body. She had never seen him like this before, his normally cold and aloof demeanor replaced by raw emotion. But she refused to let him intimidate her.
Her voice laced with sarcasm, she retorted, "Why do you care about her that much?"
Jungkook's angry facade faltered for a moment, his brows furrowing in confusion at her unexpected counter. The room fell into an uneasy silence as Eunji's words lingered in the air, challenging the very dynamics of their relationship.
"What?" His voice was cautious, a mix of confusion and surprise.
Eunji's eyes glistened with frustrated tears, her voice trembling as she continued, "She's just a normal employee, but you treat her like she's special to you."
Jungkook was momentarily speechless, taken aback by her boldness and the underlying implications of her accusation. He blinked, struggling to process her words and the emotions they stirred within him.
"And just because of her, you're yelling at me?" Eunji's voice shifted, carrying a mixture of bitterness and hurt.
Jungkook's usual composed facade was beginning to falter under the weight of Eunji's words. He felt a turmoil of emotions churning within him, conflicting with the icy mask he usually wore.
Eunji's voice was a mix of frustration and vulnerability, her anger and hurt palpable. "You never treat other empolyes like this but Y/n..!!"
He stood there, momentarily lost for words. Eunji's accusation had struck a chord within him, and he grappled with the realization that his actions hadn't gone unnoticed.
Eunji's words kept ringing in his ears, echoing with a truth he had been trying to suppress. He was no longer able to maintain his cold detachment, his emotions simmering just beneath the surface.
"Is it that you have a special relationship with her, or is it that you simply treat her like she's your everything?" Eunji's words hit him hard, a sudden wave of vulnerability washing over him.
Jungkook found himself searching for words, his usual sharp retorts failing him. He gazed at Eunji, his silence speaking volumes about the internal struggle he was facing.
Eunji's tears glistened in her eyes, her frustration mingling with her own sense of helplessness. She wanted answers, but she also wanted to be heard.
"Why do you worry about her when she's alone? Why do you care about her so much?" Eunji's voice wavered, her emotions raw and exposed.
Jungkook's stern expression began to frustrate even more, He was torn between acknowledging his feelings and maintaining his professional facade.
"I..." he began, his voice quieter than usual, laden with a rare vulnerability.
