AUTHOR POV :-

"I need you to see how much I love you. I'll do anything to make you mine," he implored, his voice a blend of longing and desperation. To him, this was more than an infatuation; it was an all-consuming love that had taken root in the depths of his heart. He had opened himself up, baring his soul, in the hope that she would reciprocate.

But as he leaned closer, seeking the warmth of her lips, she turned her face away. Her sudden withdrawal from the intimate moment sent a jolt through Jungkook's heart, leaving him momentarily paralyzed.

"I... I need some t-time," she stammered, her voice quivering with uncertainty. Y/n's heart was still pounding, her emotions in disarray. She had managed to delay the inevitable, at least for a little while, and it left her with a sense of both relief and anxiety.

Jungkook's expression darkened, disappointment and frustration etched on his face. He had laid his heart bare, and her hesitance felt like a rejection, a bitter pill to swallow.

Closing her eyes, Y/n took a deep breath, attempting to regain some semblance of composure. She had been thrust into a whirlwind romance, a rollercoaster of emotions, and she needed a moment to catch her breath.

Sensing her unease, Jungkook moved to lie beside her. Their bodies were close, yet the distance between them had never felt greater. He remained silent, unwilling to push her further at this moment. The room was shrouded in a weighty silence, punctuated only by the sound of their shared breaths.

In the quietude of the night, they lay there, worlds apart yet inexplicably drawn together. The room was enveloped in silence, save for the soft, unsteady breaths of its two occupants.

Jungkook's eyes remained closed, and his face was a mix of emotions. He was frustrated by her hesitation, but deep down, he knew he couldn't force her into anything.

[ Next day ]

Y/n mechanically folded the clothes, the rhythmic motions of her hands acting as a mere distraction from the turmoil within. Lost in a sea of thoughts, her face remained a canvas of emotions that refused to surface. The room, adorned with silent witness to her struggles, held an oppressive air.

A subtle knock disrupted the solitude, and when she directed her gaze towards the door, the unexpected presence of Eunwoo marked an intrusion into her contemplative solitude. His eyes, averted and head bowed, conveyed a sense of respect and understanding for the emotional intricacies she navigated.

"Mr. Jeon is waiting for you in the car," Eunwoo's voice, though soft, carried the weight of an unspoken acknowledgment. Y/n, devoid of verbal response, offered a simple nod, her stoic countenance revealing little about the storm of emotions beneath.

Exiting the room, Eunwoo gestured for her to proceed towards the waiting car. The short journey to the vehicle unfolded in silence, a palpable tension lingering in the air. As Y/n approached the car, Eunwoo subtly signaled her to take her seat, a gesture she acknowledged with a nod, her expression an unyielding mask.

Upon entering the car, she was met with Jungkook's presence – a stark contrast to the somber atmosphere that enveloped her. He sat there with a self-assured smile, a facade of pride that seemed at odds with the internal struggles she grappled with.

The door closed, cocooning them within the luxurious confines of the car. The engine hummed to life, propelling them towards the impending event. Jungkook's eyes, fixed on her, seemed to seek a reaction, a response that mirrored the curated narrative they presented to the world.

"Tonight is an important night, Y/n," he remarked, the emphasis on her name reflecting a desire for a connection that eluded them. "A celebration of us," he continued, his words echoing the sentiment of the event they were headed to.
