AUTHOR POV :-
After a long and quiet journey, Y/n and Sana had finally arrived in Ilsan, the place they once called home. It had been a week since they left Busan, a week filled with a whirlwind of emotions, and now, Sana's wedding was just around the corner. To celebrate the upcoming event, the two friends decided to go shopping for the wedding preparations, but Y/n's face bore an unusual and almost emotionless expression.
Y/n hadn't shared the tumultuous whirlwind of emotions that had unfolded in Busan with anyone, not even the Sana. The weight of Jungkook's confession, the revelation of his deep feelings for her, and her own complex emotions had created a storm inside her. But she decided to keep it to herself, guarding the secret like a fragile treasure.
As they continued their shopping journey for Sana's wedding preparations, Y/n kept her thoughts and emotions veiled. The bustling Ilsan market offered a distraction, and her conversation with Sana was a deliberate attempt to divert her friend's attention away from her own inner turmoil.
Sana, always eager to chat and share her excitement about the upcoming wedding, had been discussing the various preparations and plans for the big day. She turned to Y/n, her eyes shining with enthusiasm. "Y/n, I can't believe the wedding is just around the corner! Can you imagine it? Me, getting married?"
Y/n mustered a warm smile for her friend. "I know, Sana. It's incredible. Your big day is almost here."
Sana beamed and continued with her cheerful chatter. "I'm just so excited! The venue is perfect, the guests are invited, and the dress is almost chosen. I want everything to be absolutely perfect."
Y/n nodded, fully engaged in the conversation but keeping her own thoughts at bay. "I'm sure it will be a beautiful wedding, Sana. You've put so much effort into the planning, and it's going to pay off."
Sana's laughter filled the air as she tried on various wedding dresses, her joy contagious. Y/n watched her friend twirl in front of the mirror, her heart warmed by Sana's happiness. "You look stunning, Sana."
Sana blushed and giggled, the wedding preparations momentarily whisking away the weight of her friend's unspoken thoughts. "Thank you, Y/n. I can't wait to walk down the aisle."
As they continued browsing the shop for accessories and wedding items, Y/n couldn't help but admire Sana's unwavering positivity and excitement. It was a stark contrast to the storm brewing inside her.
Sana, who had always been attuned to Y/n's emotions, noticed the change in her friend's demeanor. She paused and turned to Y/n, her tone soft and concerned. "Y/n, is everything okay? You seem lost in thought."
Y/n's gaze flickered, and she returned Sana's concern with a faint smile. "Oh, I'm fine, Sana. Just adjusting to being back here and thinking about everything. It's been a whirlwind of change lately."
Sana's understanding was evident as she nodded in empathy. "I get it. It's a lot to process, especially with my wedding coming up."
Y/n's thoughts wandered back to her unresolved situation with Jungkook. She had never imagined finding herself in such a complicated and emotionally charged predicament. The revelation of his feelings for her and the chaotic aftermath had left her struggling for clarity and closure.
[ On the wedding day ]
The day of Sana's wedding had finally arrived, and it was a day filled with happiness and anticipation. The sun shone brightly in the clear Ilsan sky, casting a warm and cheerful glow over the entire event. The wedding venue was beautifully decorated with flowers, and the air was filled with the sweet fragrance of blossoms.
