AUTHOR POV :-

Jungkook sat in the dimly lit police station, the cool air inside contrasting with the tension that filled the room. The police officer, a seasoned investigator, stared at him intently, sizing up the situation.

"It's been a while, Mr. Jeon," the officer began, leafing through the case file. "Eunji and Minho's investigation has dragged on, and they've maintained their stance of not revealing much. It's led us to a difficult point."

Jungkook's jaw tightened as he listened intently, his mind racing with concern. "What's the latest development? Have you been able to gather any concrete evidence?"

The officer sighed, leaning back in his chair. "The truth is, we're still struggling to find substantial proof against them. We have some leads, but nothing definitive. We've reached a point where we need to decide whether to continue the investigation or close the case."

Jungkook's brow furrowed in frustration. "No, officer. We can't let them go. We know what they did. I won't allow them to walk free."

The officer nodded in understanding. "I appreciate your dedication to this case, Mr. Jeon, but without substantial evidence, our hands are tied. We need your decision. Do you want us to continue pursuing this, or should we close it?"

Jungkook took a deep breath, his determination unwavering. "I understand the challenges, but I can't let this go. We need to find the evidence, no matter how long it takes."

"We've decided to continue the investigation, Mr. Jeon, but I have to be honest with you," the officer began, his tone grave. "The case against Minho and Eunji is complex, and building a solid case may take time. We'll do our best, but I want you to be prepared for the possibility of a lengthy legal process."

Jungkook's jaw clenched as he listened, his eyes fixed on a distant point in the hallway. "I understand. I won't rest until they face the consequences for what they did to Y/n."

"Mr. Jeon, we've conducted our investigation, but really we couldn't find any substantial evidence linking Minho and Eunji to the incidents. Given the circumstances, I'm afraid we don't have enough to press charges against them."

Jungkook's expression hardened, and his jaw tensed. He had hoped that there would be enough evidence to bring justice to Y/n, to make Minho and Eunji pay for what they had done. The realization that they might escape legal consequences was a bitter pill to swallow.

The officer continued, "I understand your concern and the severity of the situation. However, we're bound by the law, and without concrete evidence, our hands are tied. It's not a decision we take lightly."

Jungkook's voice was strained as he replied, "I see. I don't want to compromise the legal process. If there's not enough evidence, then I'll agree to close the case."

The officer informed the other policemen to release Minho and Eunji, they were promptly brought out of the holding area. Eunji's demeanor was filled with arrogance, as if she had won a personal victory.

Jungkook, on the other hand, rose from his seat, his gaze cold and unwavering. It was evident that he had been deeply affected by this entire ordeal, but he remained determined to protect Y/n and to bring her the justice she deserved.

Eunji couldn't resist smirking as she locked eyes with Jungkook, her face filled with a mixture of satisfaction and mockery. She knew that they had managed to escape the consequences of their actions, and it fueled her arrogance.

"Well, it looks like we win, Mr. Jeon."

"This is far from over, Eunji. You won't get away with what you've done." He said in serious expression and in cold voice
