As soon as she got home that night, ivy told Kate about the trip with taylor and she immediately agreed to keep it a secret.

"omg I can't believe you're going to London! I wish Lilly would do those romantic things for me! I think I'm going to have to start making some demands!"

Ivy laughed. Her cousin could be the funniest person on earth. The two started packing and talked about college gossip. It was nice to have someone like Kate - Ivy thought.

Ivy left after 3 days, on November 20th. She and taylor would stay in London until December 13th and there they would celebrate 5 months of dating and Taylor's 34th birthday.

On arrival in London, they settled into their hotel and then headed out to explore the city. Taylor really had it all planned out. They saw Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, the British Museum and the National Gallery. The next days routine was based on waking up at 6am to watch the sunrise from the hotel balcony, showering, having breakfast, and going out to explore more famous landmarks like the London Eye (where they took lots of pictures), tower bridge, nothing hill, harry potter studios (which ivy loved), and regent's park.

And it was there, in a revolving booth of the London Eye, with a beautiful view, that Taylor plucked up the courage to do what she had really come there to do.

"it's beautiful, isn't it? - taylor broke the silence referring to the view.

" yes, it is! I've always dreamed of seeing this... Being here and all... And now it happened. Thank you for doing this " ivy said as her eyes looked like shining diamonds.

" there is something I've been wanting to ask you for a while" taylor said.

"what?"

"you know that you are like... So important to me don't you?"

"of course I know it! You mean so much to me too! But why bring that up now?"

"okay it's now or never" - taylor said sighing - She started singing love story - ivy laughed - why would taylor remember to sing that now? - then suddenly, in her head, it all made sense and she started paying attention to the specific part of the lyrics that taylor was singing "marry me juliet you never have to be alone, I love you and that's all I really know (...) it's a love story baby just say yes". Ivy Leigh or... Swift if you say yes.. - she said kneeling down in front of her - Will you marry me? Taylor finally asked putting a thin silver ring on ivy's thinger - "I know that maybe you are going to say that you are only 20, and that you're too young to marry an almost 34 year old messy and complicated famous woman but, I swear I never loved someone so much like I love you, and trust me, I've been through a lot of failed relationships with several man and that might make you even feel insecure, but I am here now, giving you all my heart and my soul and, even though you're the first woman I'm in a relationship with, and that can be very confusing sometimes... I think I'm ready to take the next step, and that means having you in my life forever. We don't have to make it official now if you think it's too soon. I'll wait a whole decade if you need ".

Taylor was going say something else but she stopped because ivy was already kissing her ferociously.

"is that a yes?" taylor asked when ivy stopped kissing her for catching her breath.

"YES!"

"SHE SAID YES!" Taylor yelld lifting ivy in the air and kissing her one more time.

"shhh. You're failling on making us a secret" ivy said laughing.

" I DON'T CARE, IT'S THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE"

"MINE TOO! But..."

"but?"

"as you said, I'm young, and I still have a year left to do in college. Can you wait at least until I finish? I want to get a job and move out of my aunt's house before making it official. And besides, what are we going to do now? Are you thinking about assuming us? "

" of course I'll wait... That's the plan actually... I want to make you as much as comfortable with this decision as possible. We are engaged and that's what really matters. Doesn't really change much signing a paper confirming our love. It's the feeling of wanting to be with someone by your side for the rest of your life that really makes a marriage".

That's very nice of you but what are we going to tell people?

"we don't need to tell everyone yet, just the closest ones, and yes, i wanna assume you"

"i think I'm just tired of not being able to do normal couple things you know, and if to accomplish that, we have to expose ourselves, let's do it. But only if you want it of course. Didn't you?"

"yes of course i wanted to feel free being with you, but you were the one saying that if you turned our relationship public it would be difficult to deal with paparazzis and everything"

"im not scared of paparazzis and the media in general themselves, I'm just worried about you're safety... People can be really judgy and mean. You have to be prepared for hearing things you don't wanna hear, but if you feel ready to face it, I am too. We can get through this together".

"but are you ok with it or are you just doing it for me? Like are you really coming out?"

"I'm not coming out. I'll just assume I'm in a beautiful relationship with a girl I love. I don't want to have to label myself. I like who I like, I don't need a name for it. If someone wants to speculate about my sexuality, which they will for sure, so be it. I'm not going to give them justifications. So no, I'm not going to do any social media essay speeches. I'm going to take you places with me, and this time we won't just pretend to be friends. Whoever doesn't like it, stay away. We won't hide anymore". Are you ready for it?
