Suddenly my need to use the restroom was gone. I took a quick glance at myself and thought "I'm decent today." As he approached the sink next to mine, Jussie looked at me and gave a warm hello. Besides my body getting a little hotter and my nerves kicking in, I managed to say "Hi." Part of me kept thinking that I couldn't let him go once again and blow everything. Thank God he kept the convo going. "Have I seen you somewhere before?" He asked, giving me a look that indicates I'm a familiar face. "Um... Yeah." I added, trying to hold back my over excitement. "I was at your meet and greet in Atlanta." "That's right! You were behind that boy I thought was your brother." I gave a smile as I remembered the encounter. At this point Jussie was done washing his hands. He was leaning on the counter talking to me with a beautiful spark in his eyes. "What brings you here to Chicago?" He asks. "I... I came to see you." I surprised myself with my honesty, but it was better than a corny lie would've been. "Really?!?" He smiles from ear to ear and looks down, showing that he's flattered. "Yes. I didn't expect to see you here, though. I'm surprised you don't have guards with you." Jussie looks up and my heart melts as we make direct eye contact. I usually hate direct eye contact, being the akward person that I am, but right now I couldn't help but indulge in his gaze. He looked at me as if I was someone he was crushing on. I don't even think he knew he was my biggest crush. "I don't always need someone to protect me. I might need to protect myself, and maybe even someone else from time to time." "You look like you can handle yourself, too. They better watch out for Jussie the Great!" Jussie laughed at how I said his name with a heroic tone to it. "I'm sorry" he said, making eye contact with me again. "I never caught your name." "Oh, I'm Josh. Short for Joshua. But people just call me Josh." Shut up, self! "Nice to meet you, Josh. Um... Would you mind hanging out sometime?" "I'd... I'd love that. Whenever you'd like to." On the inside I was screaming. We exchanged numbers and a hug in which I indulged in Jussie's cologne. After that he was gone just as quick as I had came in. I sighed at the feeling of floating on cloud nine.
