Chapter 19

Jussie and I ran behind building after building, trying our best not to get noticed. We ran through dark alleys, long streets, and through ongoing traffic. Finally, we made it to the hotel. "I thought we were going to the hotel that you were staying at tonight." I said, out of breath and completely done with everything at that moment. "This is the hotel that I'm staying at." Said Jussie, panting. "Ok then, come on." I wasn't in the mood to ask any more questions. We walked into the hotel lobby and got on one of the elevators inside. I let Jussie pressed the floor number since I didn't know where his room was. We made it to the 8th floor and Jussie took me to his double suite. As I walked in behind him, he turned around and faced me. "Well, this is where I'm staying. What would you like to do?" "Can we order room service? After all, we didn't eat at the restaurant." "I completely forgot! I'll get the menu right after I use the bathroom. Be right back!" Jussie walked out the room as my phone vibrated. I got a text from my mom. "When are u coming home?" "I don't know, the tickets to go back home were stolen... the airline said it'll take a few days." I thought of how bad I'd feel if Jussie knew I ran away to see him. Momentarily, Jussie brought the menu  into the living room area and sat down next to me. I made sure to put my phone on the table face down in case mom texted again. "Do you like burgers?" "What kind?" Jussie scanned the menu with his eyes. This burger is loaded bacon and cheese and comes with fri-" "Ok. I was sold a bcon and cheese." We both giggled at my eager tone for food.  After Jussie called room service and ordered our meals with milkshakes, he sat next to me and stared into my eyes. My heart skipped a beat as he leaned in and kissed me. I felt like I was dreaming. I felt like this was all a cliché love story or something. But I didn't care. He was mine. He was all mine.
