The Confession (Sonadow) (On Pause)

Chapter 1

Sonic's P.O.V

Shadow and I started dating last month and we haven't told anyone yet. I've been thinking about coming out to everyone, but I haven't asked Shadow yet. I was gonna ask him if he thought it was a good idea first, since he's my lover and all and this should be a shared decision.

I knock on Shadow's front door and he answers it almost immediately. "Hello, my love. What are you doing here?" Shadow asks me. "I wanted to talk to you about something... can I come in?" Shadow nods and steps aside to let me in his home. I walk inside and he closes the door behind me, leading me to the couch. "So, what brings you here? Oh, would you like something to drink?" Shadow asks, being considerate as always. Well- actually- scratch that, not always, only sometimes. "No thank you. I just wanted to ask you something..."

Shadow's P.O.V 

Sonic usually comes over to my house for a secret date, or a favor. He never comes over for a question, so it piqued my interest. "Sure, go ahead. You can ask me anything." I said encouraging him to ask what was on his mind. "Shadow... I would like to tell everyone about our relationship... all I ask is for your consent, you don't have to be there, since I know you don't usually like to be around other people."

Oh, right, I'd almost forgotten we hadn't told anyone... "Well, I have no problem with telling them if that's what you want, love. And I will be there with you to explain everything." I say in an understanding and comforting tone. "Really? You're ok with that?" He asked, confused. "Yes." I reply with a nod. 

"I know you can't stand being around them, and I don't want this to go wrong, and you're not very social, and I don't know what Amy would do when she-" "Sonic, calm down." I place my hands on his shoulders to stop his rambling. "But Shad-" "Shh... Sonic, I promise you, I will not hurt your friends nor will I let that pink hedgehog get on my nerves when we tell them. I promise you it'll be ok." "...you promise?" "I don't break my promises." "Ok then... thank you." 

Sonic reaches over to hug me. I hug him back almost immediately as I stroke his quills. "It'll be ok, love..." "...what if Eggman finds out?" "Then he finds out." "What if he tries to separate or sabotage us? What if-" "Stop rambling, will ya? It'll be fine. The doctor can't do anything to hurt us. Now quit worrying, hedgehog." "Right, right, sorry, Shadz." "It's alright, love. It's alright." I continue to stroke his quills for a while until we hear screams coming from outside

"Eggman."

Hey, what do you guys think? It's my first fanfic, so please no hate. Sorry if the first chapter is kinda short btw. And did anyone notice there was proper grammar unlike most fanfics? That's because bad grammar is a pet peeve of mine and I will not allow it in my fics, so, you're welcome for that. Should I continue this or just scrap it?
