The Confession (Sonadow) (On Pause)

Chapter 9

Shadow's P.O.V

This is it, we're going out. I've never felt so nervous yet so alive. We arrived at a nice restaurant called 'The Catender'. (The name is a reference to my favorite fanfic! Can you guess which one?~) I called in early and got us reservations. Me and Sonic walked up to the counter. "Hello, how may I help you?" The lady asked us. "Reservation for Shadow the Hedgehog?" "Give me a moment, sir."

I felt my heart racing. I smiled at my partner and he grinned back. It seems as though I'm not the only one who's excited. "Alright. Right this way, sir." The lady said politely. She led us to our table and we took a seat. "Your waiter will be here soon to take your orders." We nodded and she walked away.

Narrator's P.O.V

Hi! I'm Diya! I'll be your narrator for today! Izzy started letting me and my friends from behind the scenes narrate! So uh- lets continue.

The two hedgehogs spoke to each other while they waited, each being excited, yet nervous at the same time. "So uh- here we are... finally." The ebony hedgehog spoke first. "Can't believe it right? I've been so worked up about this and now- it's happening." The azure one chuckled after responding. The ebony one-

(Gow: Diya! Stop being fancy with it! No need to impress the readers! They're reading for the sake of the story, not the grammar!
Diya: Alright, alright! Sorry about that, folks!
Gow: *scoffs* People pleaser...)

Anyways... before Gow rudely interrupted, I was about to say that Shadow chuckled and smiled at his partner. "I know... I mean, I was so panicked about this date, but it actually isn't as pressuring..." Shadow sighs. "I could get used to this..." He smiles at his partner. His azure mate hums contently in response. "Yeah... me too, Shadz."

(Diya: Haha! I'll use whatever grammar I want! Suck it, Gow!
*Gow rolls her eyes*
Gow: Whatever... *she mutters* don't go overboard.
Diya: Don't worry! I won't! *her tail wags*)

Now, back to the story! I apologize for the constant inconveniences! Am I still a good narrator? I hope so...

Anyways, as I was saying, after a few more minutes, the waiter had arrived. And wouldn't you believe it, their waiter was actually a waitress! You know Rouge, right?~ She had gotten a job there after hearing about their date!

(*Diya giggles a bit before continuing to read*)

"Hey, boys, may I take your order?~" Rouge said, in her regular sultry tone. Both partners were shocked. "Rouge?!" They shouted in unison, getting shushed by other tables for the noise. "Bat, what are you doing here?" Shadow asks in his 'normal' cold tone. "I work here, genius." She replies, rolling her eyes.

Rouge sighs. "Anyways, you gonna order or what, edgy boy?" Shadow growls at her before sighing and ordering his food. Sonic orders his and Rouge walks away. Shadow scoffs. "The nerve of that bat..." Sonic rolls his eyes. "She's your friend, Shadz, she's just looking out for you." "I suppose you could be correct..." Shadow sighs again.

30 Minutes Later

"Ugh, where is she?!" Sonic was getting very impatient. Shadow chuckled lowly at his grumpy boyfriend. "Awww... is she too slow for you, Sonic?~" The ebony teases. "Shut up, Shadz..." The azure one mutters back, causing the dark one to chuckle.

Just then, they hear an explosion, wiping Shadow's smug smile right off his face. 

"Eggman." They say in unison. "He's back..."

(Me: And that's it for this chapter! Be lucky I got something out! And thanks to our special guests, Gow and our narrator, Diya!
Gow: Hello, everyone! Maybe you remember me narrating "Sonic's Kid?" at some point?
Diya: Hey! This was my first time narrating, so I wanted to make it special! Am I a good narrator? Comment down below!
