The Confession (Sonadow) (On Pause)

Chapter 2

Sonic's P.O.V

"Eggman." Shadow and I said in unison, hearing the screams and evil laughter. We broke the hug we shared and dashed out of his house to find screaming Mobians scattering around, yet away from the destruction, and Eggman, not too far away, with his robots destroying everything.

"This is new... he usually attacks the town or cities nearby. Why's it so close?" Shadow questioned. "I dunno... but I'm not gonna sit around waiting to find out." I say, getting a running position. "Wanna race?~" I tease, causing Shadow to roll his eyes. "How could I say 'no' to that?" He smirks. "3.. 2.. 1-" Shadow immediately dashed off before I could say 'go'. "Hey! No fair!" I shout, running after him.

I reach Eggman shortly after Shadow. "No fair! You cheated!" I shout, while sticking my tongue out at Shadow, who destroys a robot. "I didn't cheat, you're just too slow." He smirks. I roll my eyes and spin-dash a nearby robot. Soon enough Tails, Knuckles, and Amy show up and start destroying robots along with us, no questions asked.

"You're going DOWN, Egghead!" I yell while destroying some robots. "Oh, we'll see about that, hedgehog." He sends Metal Sonic after me. He runs towards me really fast and punches me in the face. Has he gotten faster? I dodge the best I can, but Metal keeps hitting me. We go at it for a while until one point where I'm down on one knee with a few bleeding cuts. One on my knee, two on my face, and one on my shoulder. 

I stand up, limping a little. Metal was about to punch me again, but something stopped him.

Shadow's P.O.V

I saw Sonic getting beat by Metal. What's going on? Why's Sonic getting beat by Metal? Has he been upgraded? I see Sonic about to get punched by Metal again and I throw a chaos spear to stop him. I chaos control in front of Sonic and grab Metal, smashing him into the ground. "Shad-" "Sonic, go help the others. I've got Metal." He nods and runs off while I'm left with Metal to handle him.

I put my foot on his stomach so he can't get up, but he punches me where it hurts most... I bite my lower lip and chuckle while doing so, to avoid yelling out in pain. I grab Metal by the neck and hold him in the air, but he kicks me in the stomach to get out of my grasp. We continue fighting for a while before I end up ripping off his arm.

After the battle, and everyone else leaves, I go to check on Sonic. "Sonic, are you ok?" "Yeah, I'm fine, Shadz..." He's holding his right arm and limping. "No, you're not fine. I will take you back to my place." "But Shadz, I-" "That was not a request." I grab his hand and chaos control us into my living room. I sit him down on the couch and grab some anti-septic ointment to apply on his wounds and some cotton cloths to apply it.

I sit down next to him, applying the ointment with the cotton cloths. He winces as I do it. "You're fine, huh?" I say smirking. "Oh, shut up, Shadz. It's only a few cuts." I roll my eyes. "Whatever... you still got hurt." "What's up with Metal? Since when did he get so fast?" He asks, as if I'd know the answer. "Why would I know that? The doctor probably upgraded him or something." 

I finish cleaning his cuts and put my hand on his cheek, kissing his forehead. "There, all better." I say while removing my hand from his cheek. "Yeah, yeah, thanks, Shadz. And I was serious with what I said earlier. We are going to tell them about us." I roll my eyes at his reminder. I sigh. "I know. But when?" "How 'bout later today?" "Or later next month..." I mumble. Sonic rolls his eyes. 

"No, Shadz. If you don't want to tell them, then-" "No, it's not that... what if they judge us?" "Shad, they're our friends-" "Your friends." I corrected. "Fine, my friends, and they won't judge me or you for being together." "What about the pink one?" "What about her? She'll find someone else. I can't stand her chasing me all the time. She's my friend, and I don't want to see her heartbroken, but I don't love her and she needs to understand that."

He's right. So what if she's jealous? What can she do? Surely she won't hit me with her hammer over Sonic... right?
