Sumedh and Anil are standing near Mallika's jeep, watching Mallika talk with some lawyers and shake hands with them.

Anil:
She saved you.
Sumedh:
She did. She proved the guilty, innocent.
Anil:
She went out of the way to give you a clean slate..
Sumedh:
Sir, Did we do the right thing?

Sumedh looks at Anil.

Anil:

Sumedh:

Anil chuckles

Anil:

Sumedh:

Sumedh lights a cigarette.

Anil:

Sumedh:

Anil:

Sumedh:
Pehle mujhe suspension se toh haataye yeh log!
Anil:
Kaam aur plan ka kya sambhand?
Sumedh:

Anil:

She asks for cigarette, he gives and lights it too.

Anil teases them.

Sumedh:
Aree Sir! Kya jhoot bolte ho aap...Maine light karke di thi..!
Mallika:
Haa Sir...Maine bhi dekha tha..

They share some chuckles.

Anil:
Chalo, You guys carry on. I'll take you leave.
Mallika:
Okay Sir.

Anil leaves and Sumedh and Mallika sit in her jeep. They agrue over who will drive and Mallika drives them back to her place.

Sumedh cooks for them while Mallika takes 2 wine glasses.

Sumedh:
Oh..Its 1pm...We are day drinking ?
Mallika:
Yes because we are celebrating.

They eat, chat, laugh.

Mallika:
Sumedh yaar! Tum khana sach mein itna accha kaise bana lete ho!?
Sumedh:
Kya hai na...pata hai ki tum toh bana sakti ho nahi..toh ab bhooke toh nahi marr sakte na!

They share a laugh. Sumedh's smile shrinks at a realization.

Mallika:
Kya hua? Shant kyun hogaye?
Sumedh:
Mujhe yaad aagaya ki main yaha kyun aaya tha Mallika. Main yaha clean slate lene nahi aaya tha..
Mallika:
Toh kyun aaye the?
Sumedh:
MAIN APNI FEELINGS CLEARLY TUMHE BATANE AAYA THA.

Mallika's eyes widened.

Mallika:
Sumedh, I don't think we should go there--
Sumedh:
No Mallika, we should. You know I don't care if you feel the same way or not because even if you dont, Thats not gonna change even an inch of my feelings for you.

Sumedh comes close to her. Mallika stands still looking at him.

Sumedh:
I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU, MALLIKA. I LOVE YOU WITH EVERY I HAVE. I FELL FOR YOU WHEN WE FIRST STARTED DATING BUT I KNEW YOU DIDN'T LOVE ME BACK AND THE FEAR OF LOSING YOU MADE ME KEEP MY FEELINGS SUPRESSED....PAR JAB TUMNE MUJHE HINT DIYE KI TUM MUJHSE PYAAR KARTI HO, TAB TAKK BOHOT DERR HO CHUKI THI..TUMHE MERE PLAN KE BAARE MEIN SAB PATA CHAL CHUKA THA....BUT NOTHING CAN EVER CHANGE MY FEELINGS FOR YOU. Sumedh says all this in one breathe. Mallika has tears in her eyes. Sumedh turns his back to Mallika, wipes his tears, and takes his stuff indicating that he is leaving.

Mallika:
I don't want to date you.
Sumedh:
Yeah...I know..

He proceeds to take his things.

Mallika:
I WANT TO MARRY YOU.

Sumedh's feet freeze. He turns to her.

Sumedh:
Repeat....!
Mallika:
I WANT YOU TO MAKE ME TEA EVERYDAY AND ALSO MAKE US DINNER OCCASIONALLY! 
Sumedh:
I WANT TO SEE YOU SLEEP AND SEE YOU WAKE UP.

Sumedh said stepping a step close to Mallika

Mallika:
I WANT TO BALANCE MY WORK AND LIFE, I WANT YOU TO BE THE REASON FOR THAT.
Sumedh:
I WANT TO WORK WITH PASSION JUST LIKE YOU DO

Mallika steps closer to Sumedh.

Mallika:
I WANT TO COME BACK HOME TO YOU.
Sumedh:
I'LL BE EVERYWHERE YOU GO BECAUSE YOU ARE MY HOME.

There inches between Sumedh and Mallika. Their fingers are brushing to each other. Their forehead rests on each other's.
Mallika holds his hand and he locks their fingers.

Mallika:
WILL YOU MARRY ME?
Sumedh:
YES. IN A HEARTBEAT YES!

Sumedh's lips capture Mallika's, giving her a deep, passionate, full of genuine love kiss.
