"I met the older sister to the birthday girl today and... oh god- I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT HER!" confessed Mini-Sun when Sundrop asked him what the matter was.

Sundrop was silent for a bit before he put his hand on Mini-Sun's shoulder.

"Son... don't worry," he said, assuringly.

Mini-Sun was puzzled. Surely his programmed father didn't truly understand since he never had this type of feeling for a human before... right?

But it didn't really matter because Sundrop spending time with Mini-Sun always made him feel better about what happened the moment(s) before. Oftentimes, Sundrop would either talk to him or sing him a song to cheer him up.

It was on this occasion that Sundrop decided a song would cheer Mini-Sun up.

He sat Mini-Sun down and then said, "Son... this is a song a child from Wales who attended the daycare taught me long before you were built. It's called 'Suo-gân', or 'Lullaby' in English."

Mini-Sun had never heard a song like it before, so he decided to have a listen since it might cheer him up.

The lyrics Sundrop sang to Suo-gân's tune went as follows:

"Hush, my sunshine,
Rest serenely,
Now, my lovely
Slumber deep.
Father rocks you,
Humming lowly,
Close your eyes and
Worry not.

Angels hover,
Ever nearer,
Looking on your
Smiling face.
I will hold you,
Close enfold you
Close your eyes and
Worry not."

As Mini-Sun listened to Sundrop's synthesized yet soulful voice singing this Welsh lullaby that a foreign child who once attended this daycare taught him, he remembered a conversation he heard between two of the engineers who initially worked on him when he opened his eyes for the very first time, right before he was taken to the daycare to meet the kids for the first time:

Engineer 1: "So, you sure he'll make a good son to the Daycare Attendant?"
Engineer 2: "I'm absolutely sure of it!"
Engineer 1: "I don't know... I mean he has flaws that we don't really know how to fix... he can't transform at night despite him being painted with the same materials as the Daycare Attendant, he seems to be very anxiety-prone... all-in-all he just seems like only half of what the Daycare Attendant is!"
Engineer 2: "Who the hell cares about that? What matters is that Mini-Sun will most likely be just as loved and trusted by the kids as the Daycare Attendant!"

It was one of the first things Mini-Sun ever heard in his life, and that comment from the other engineer was the first time he ever heard any positive feedback about himself. It was also the first time he ever shed his synthesized, animatronic-friendly tears out of joy, something the original Sundrop didn't have until shortly before Mini-Sun was first being built.

After Sundrop was done singing, Mini-Sun was crying tears of joy from that happy memory.

When Sundrop tried to ask Mini-Sun what the matter was, and not getting a response due to Mini-Sun crying, Mini-Sun finally calmed down after a few minutes and said this:

"I'm sorry... it's just that you're probably the only one in this whole building who genuinely cares about me... and you never seem to care about my flaws... you just see them as things that make me who I am..."

Upon hearing that, Sundrop opened his arms wide for Mini-Sun to hug him.

Mini-Sun then gave Sundrop the hug, and in doing so he fell asleep gradually.

Sundrop, upon seeing that his son fell asleep in his embrace, carried his serenely resting body to a charging port specially designed for him.

When it came time for the pizzaplex to close and the lights to turn off, Sundrop transformed into Moondrop and guarded the resting Mini-Sun throughout the night... until it came time for him to charge as well.

Mini-Sun rested/charged serenely that night...

...but little did he know that one of these days when his father would bond with him... would be his very last.
