Being the last one to step in the helicopter, the door quickly slammed behind Marlene before the pilot ran around to the driver seat. Sighing, she sat across from Ellie, who just squeezed her knee in excitement before turning her body towards Allan, interlocking her arm with his as he fiddled with his raptor talon.

Marlene smiled at the two before looking at the other two men, who she had sat in between without even noticing. On her right was a balding man in a beige colored suit, who gripped onto his hat tightly. He had his hands covering his chin with a bored look on his face. 'Talk about lame.' The young woman thought before glancing at the other guy on her left. 'Now he looks fun...'

The stranger had tanned-skin with curly black hair that stuck up in a few places. He had black glasses to match to his dark aesthetic he had going on. Watching has he slipped his box of gum into his leather jacket, he put the piece in his mouth, chewing it a few times before speaking.

"You can take a picture if you like, I luckily don't charge." Rolling her eyes, she shook her head a bit before looking straight ahead. "So you three, um, dig up dinosaurs?"

"Well, we try to, anyways." Marlene mused, sharing a look with Alan. That must have gotten a kick out of the stranger because he started laughing loudly, leaning back in his seat.

"You'll have to get used to Dr. Malcolm. He suffers from a deplorable excess of personality." Hammond explained, shooting the doctor a look. "Especially for a mathematician."

"Chaotician, actually." Malcolm corrected, holding a finger up. "John doesn't subscribe to chaos, particularly on what I have to say about his little science project."

"And what do you have to say about it, the Dr. Malcolm?" Marlene asked, crossing her arms in front of her chest. The man chuckled, shaking his head.

"That it's insane. Tell me, Ms. Grant, have you heard of the Chaos theory?"

"I have not."

"Non-linear equations? Strange attractions?" Marlene shrugged, not having a clue on what subjects he was referring too. "Ms. Grant, I refuse to believe that you aren't familiar with the concept of attraction." Marlene laughed audibly, sharing a flustered look with Ellie, who had a shit-eating grin plastered on her face.

"Smooth, Dr. Malcolm." Marlene said, shaking head at the man next to her.

"You can call me, uh, Ian."

"I doubt I will, Dr. Malcolm. And it's Dr. Grant, by the way."

As the helicopter got closer to the landing spot, Marlene barely registered John Hammond's  warning about having to drop fast before she felt the plane go down quickly, making her jump and grab onto a black sleeve.

"Ya-hoo!" Hammond laughed as Marlene put a hand on her chest, taking a breather for a moment.

"Well Ms- uh, Dr. Grant, if you wanted to hold my hand you could've just asked." Ian said from besides the girl, holding his arm up. She looked at her other hand before moving it to her hair, petting it down slightly.

Moving to buckle her seat belt, she hastily did so before looking at her brother, seeing that he was struggling to fasten into his seat as John tried to help him figure it out. "Look, we'll have landed by the time you get it right." John said, which made both Marlene and Ian smile, silently poking fun at Alan Grant. Eventually, the man just gave up and tied the leather straps of the seatbelt around his waist, flashing a smirk at Ellie.

When the plane finally landed, Marlene carefully unbuckled before standing up, just about to exit the airplane from her side when she saw a hand held out in front of her.

Blinking at Ian Malcolm, she smirked before taking it, jumping down from the plan and onto the landing mat. "Thanks."

"Uh, yeah. No, uh, no problem." He stuttered, clearing his throat softly.

Soon two jeeps pulled up, both of them with the same red and tan color scheme with a logo on the side. "Jurassic Park, hmmm." Marlene hummed as she climbed into the vehicle, the lawyer in the tan suit about to get into the seat next to her before Ian Malcolm beat him too it.

"You don't mind if I sit here, do you? Course you don't." He answered the question himself, making the young woman scoff.

"You're cocky."

"So are you." He shot back. "Everyone on this trip is in some shape of way, that's why we're all here aren't we?"

"Touché." She mumbled as the Jeep started to drive off. Looking at the seat in front of her, she smirked when she saw her brother sitting in front of her. 'Big mistake bro.' She thought before kicking his seat, making him jump in surprise. When he turned to look, she innocently avoided eye contact with him, but her smirk was still on her face.

Rolling his eyes, he muttered something about how 'he wished he was an only child' and how 'he was too old for a little sister' before leaning back in his chair and making himself comfortable.
