Staring at the pile of dino droppings, flies buzzing around it, Ian took off his glasses and shook his head. "That is one big pile of shit."

"Told ya it was gonna royally stink." Marlene mused, bumping into his side playfully. Looking at Ellie, she had taken her gloved hands from the pile, dropping what she was looking through.

"She really just went right on in there." Marlene nodded at Ian's grimace, not personally bothered by the smell.

"You're right. There's no trace of lilac berries. That's so odd though." Ellie told the vet as she stood back up. "All right, so she's suffering from Melia toxicity. Every six weeks... let's see..." she trailed off, walking back to where the dinosaur was.

"She's, uh, tenacious." Ian commented to the Grant siblings once the blonde left.

"You have no idea." Alan scoffed, shaking his head a bit as he followed Ellie, leaving Marlene and Ian alone.

"She will remember to wash her hands before she eats anything, right?" He asked, watching the blonde walk off. Marlene shrugged, crossing her arms.

"Hopefully."

"And, um, do you do that stuff, Doctor?"

She shrugged at his question. "Sometimes, it's part of the job." She answered, the two making there way to the rest of the group. "You know, I wanted to be a vet actually, like, when I was little."

"Really?"

"Yeah, but then I learned that dinosaurs were extinct and... well, I was always a dino-person more that a cat person." She chuckled, moving some hair from her face.

"But dinosaurs aren't extinct anymore." Ian pointed out, subtly inching closer to her.

"Fair point." Marlene sighed, jumping at the clap of thunder in the distance. "Fuck, I really hate storms..."

"Doctors, if you please, I have to insist we get moving." The lawyer said shakily.

"You know, if it's alright, I'd like to stay with Dr. Harding and finish up here." Ellie said, looking at the vet. "If it's alright with you, of course."

"Sure! I'm in a gas-powered Jeep. I can drop her at the visitor's center before I make the boat with the others."

"Great." She hummed, looking at Alan and Marlene. "Then I'll catch up with you two if you want to go on."

"You sure?" Alan asked, taking his hat off to look at her.

"Yeah, I wanna stay with her a little longer."

Alan looked at her hesitantly before nodding. "If you're sure then."

"Now, can we please get back to the Jeeps?" The lawyer requested again. The group just looked at him before making the path back to their cars, eager to make it before they got rained on.
