Minho had contacted Felix about a meeting with his mechanic, Jaewoo, almost two days after the last radical incident.
The man was difficult to get a hold of at times, presumably due to the fact he made illegal license plates and couldn't always keep up with his criminal customers. The meeting had been set for the day after, Minho telling Jaewoo that he needed to come in and ask about bringing the man a new customer. Of course, he hadn't given Felix and Chan's real names, rather referring to them as Yongbok and Chris.
The couple were currently getting ready to meet with Minho, who said he'd drive them to the mechanic's place on account that they had no idea where it was.
"How are we even gonna know if he recognises us? He's gonna play dumb if he does." Chan queried, shrugging on his jacket.
Felix laughed gently, at his boyfriend's naivety.
"We're vampires." Felix simply replied, fixing his hair in the hallway mirror.
Chan gave him a blank stare, seemingly unable how to piece together how that was relevant.
"So we're gonna bite him until he talks?" The brunet cocked an eyebrow.
Felix shook his head gently, amused at his boyfriend's lack of critical thinking.
"We're gonna listen for an increased heartbeat, watch his movements. If he shuffles uncomfortably, if he sweats, if he seems on edge - well, more on edge than he would be while meeting potential clients." The blond tapped the side of Chan's cheek adoringly.
"Could we try coercing him?" Chan suggested, knowing that the ability was not a solid skill, but could potentially prove useful.
"Too risky. If he recognises us, he'll be on high alert, and his mind won't be vulnerable enough to try coerce." Felix sighed gently, wishing it were so easy.
"Right." Chan nodded.
He was aware of the general limitations of coercion, but sometimes he was still foggy on the details.
The two left the apartment, heading to Minho's as they rehearsed their story.
"We're planning on robbing a bank, so we need a getaway car that can be taken apart afterwards. We're gonna promise to give him a third of our cut if he helps us." Chan repeated out loud, making sure he had the details right.
"And our names are Chris and Yongbok." Felix nodded to himself, cringing at the use of his Korean name.
He loved his Korean name, but only his extended family called him by it - it seemed too personal to throw around for a cover up story.
Once the pair got to Minho's, they noticed the elder already waiting on his porch. He was leaning against the pillar, and gave the two a small smile as he met them at the end of his driveway.
"Got your stories down?" Minho asked, the pair nodding.
"We are immersed in our Bonnie and Clyde storyline." Felix joked, following the elder to his car.
"Okay good, just don't give him too many details." Minho said, starting the car as the others buckled their belts.
The drive to the mechanic's workshop was brief enough, but felt longer. It was a simple ten minute drive, out of the town and to the outskirts where the number of houses faded to multiple per street, to a few per mile. The workshop was located on a large plot of land, and could even be mistaken for a farmhouse from far back. It lacked any obvious signage, indicating that Jaewoo was not looking for many new customers.
"He's probably gonna be a bit on edge meeting you guys regardless, given that every potential client is also a potential rat to the cops." Minho warned, parking the car outside. "Just ignore that."
