Minho was alerted to a harsh knock on his door that night, one that startled both himself and Jisung where they were comfortably watching a movie in the living room.
"Jesus Christ." He muttered to himself, answering the door to find a very distraught looking Felix and Chan leaning against the frame.
"There's been some developments in our radical issue." Felix breathed out, eyebrows twitching slightly inwards.
"I wasn't aware it had become an issue. You saw them again?" Minho asked, stepping back as he went to rejoin Jisung in the living room, silently beckoning the couple to follow him.
"What happened?" Jisung queried with worry, having overheard the brief words from the couch.
"Changbin's a radical. He tried to shoot Lix." Chan spoke suddenly, deciding that there was no time for subtlety.
Jisung's face fell, as if he had just heard the worst news possible - which, in fairness it was pretty close to. He took a moment, running a hand through his blue hair as he tried to think of something to respond with.
"Was he.. okay?" The male didn't know what else to ask. Yes, he was concerned that his friend was almost shot, but he also wanted to know about the welfare of their ex-best friend.
"I barely recognised him. He's like twice his size in pure muscle, and he had such.. hatred in his eyes." Chan said, looking distantly into the corner of the room, just over his friend's head.
"Well, we've known he hates us. He said he'd rather me dead than a vampire." Jisung raised an eyebrow, disappointment blanketing his expression as he recalled their estrangement months prior.
"It was different. He was willing to kill two humans just to kill us with them." The brunet let out a frustrated sigh, throat tightening slightly at the idea that his friend hated him that much. "He strangled Felix even though I'm pretty sure he knew it wouldn't kill him."
"He's angry." Minho observed, stating the blatantly obvious. "Likely that he lost his two best friends, and probably found solace in the idea of eradicating the cause of his loss."
"Me." Felix frowned, taking the obvious hint.
"It's easiest for him to point the blame at you, yeah. Even though you didn't directly do anything wrong." Minho shrugged, not in the mood for comforting. They clearly had bigger issues.
"If this group were dumb enough to come at us again, they'll probably risk it a third time. We need to figure out how many of them there are, and what they know." Chan said, trying to steer the topic in another direction.
"We should probably call Hyunjin over, too." Jisung suggested, Felix shaking his head.
"I already texted him, he's on his way." The blond replied.
The four got to talking about what they knew on the radical group so far, with Hyunjin joining them after a brief ten-minute grace period, claiming he just had to finish the end of the book he had been reading. The five found themselves sat in a circle on the living room floor, a sheet of paper between them all. To a stranger's eye, it almost looked like they were attempting to cast a spell.
"Okay, so, the only person's identity that we know is Changbin's." Minho stated as he began to write on the sheet of paper.
"And the only ones who have seen the faces of the other guys are Chan and Lix." Hyunjin noted, Minho briefly writing that down too.
"The youngest looking guy seemed like a leader, or at least was the frontman of their little group." Felix noted, pausing for a moment. "Seemed around our ages, possibly younger."
