C'era una volta una notte stellata,
mentre io ero a una festa, sulla spiaggia.
Mi stavo divertendo con i miei amici,
quando arrivò questa ragazza che mi disse "Vattene da qui, strega!".

Mi fece scappare via:
andai in un posto buio,
mi sedetti sulla sabbia
e guardai le stelle...
C'erano molte stelle grandi
che nascondevano il resto,
ma ho visto una piccola stella timida
in tutta quella confusione...

fammi vedere chi sei.
Fammi vedere che sei la stella più brillante!

C'era una volta un'altra notte stellata,

ma lei guardò il cielo e mi chiese: "Dov'è?".

Mi ha fatto sentire triste:
non ha visto proprio niente!
Nessuno poteva vedere la stella, tranne me.
La stella mi ha fatto sentire forte:
ora mi piaccio come sono,
e ora che mi fido di lei,
so di aver trovato un'amica!
