Shuichi: But, if the vote ends without a single vote being cast for hope or despair...The audience will absolutely hate it cause they don't want an ending like that. So I am gonna refuse to give what the audience wants. That's what I'm abstaining my vote. I reject both hope and despair! I reject on voting Keebo or Tsumugi.
Keebo POV: Hope...won't end this killing game? If that's true...then the feeling I have for hope to must win, then...what am I supposed to do. I must not give up on hope...I know that. But if hope continues to demand tragedy from us...then, what am I supposed to do?
Shuichi: I reject the world for making us do this! Which is why I abstain from voting! So this won't end in hope of despair.
Hajime: You can't throw away your futures!
Makoto: Hope is contagious!

Tsumugi: Keebo, what are you doing? Did your inner voice tell you to reject hope?
Keebo: No, my inner voice is telling me... not to give up on hope. But if hope demands tragedy from us...then I cannot trust it. I may be a robot but, the thought of my friends dying still fills me with sadness. I don't want anyone else to feel this way... so I will abandon hope!
Tsumugi: Do you understand what will happen if you do that. To defy the audience?
Shuichi: I don't give in any excuse for this, the killing game in over anyway. But let me tell you this, we won't en it the way you want! We won't make a good ending or a bad one. To end this killing game...and end it forever... We will reject Danganronpa!
Keebo: Shuichi...

Shuichi: But Tsumugi, you were right though. I am weak. I am weaker than anybody else...If I didn't had my friends, then I would be useless. That's true even now. If Keebo and Maki didn't stand up. I wouldn't be able to end it all right here. It's because I was weak and because I lost my way...I finally realized. I finally realized how cruel this "hope" really is!

Sakura: What do you mean, its still a meaningless death.
Shuichi: No it wouldn't! Our lives are our strongest weapons! With these weapons, we can revolt against the outside world!
Himiko: I'm gonna put an end to it. Even if I'm a fictional character, my life is real. I'm not gonna let you use my life for some show. I'm gonna use my life...to end this killing game! Its the only weapon I got!
Tsumugi: You know, it could be part of my script, Maki falling for Kaito y'know. Because if none of you vote and I do, then I'll be the only one who survives. Doesn't that sound like the big bad mastermind would come up with!

Shuichi: Its okay Maki, believe in me and yourself , just like how you believe in Kaito.
Maki: Believe...in myself?
Shuichi: That is why you have to fight. Even if you are scared. It would be a lousy story if the hero gave up so easily!

Maki: I will believe in myself. Even if this is fictional, I'll believe in my feelings. If I can't believe in my feelings, then my existence will have no meaning. If we can change reality, we can change reality. Our lives will have significance. So hopefully, my feelings will have a significance too.
