Cold... thought Marinette, ...why am I cold? Where...where am I...? Her words echoed in her mind. Suddenly, she heard a voice. It was muffled, close to impossible to remember whose voice it was.

"Cataclysm!" the voice shouted.

Marinette's eyes opened for a moment. She could see someone in black.

"Huh?" said the figure, "Marinette?"

Just...just let...me...sleep... Marinette begged in her mind. Suddenly, she felt something touch her. Huh...? I...I feel... She thought again.

Cat Noir carried a bleeding Marinette in his arms. She was hurt. Badly hurt. He didn't know how she got here, but he knew his questions shall be answered later. He leaped from building to building. He had to get her to safety.

...

"See you in the morning, goodbye." said a doctor as he left the hospital.

He walked until he heard a loud crash by a brick wall. He walked towards the source of the loud sound.

"What the...?" he said, then gasped.

He saw two gravely injured teenagers lying on the floor. Both were covered in bruises and scratches. He shouted at another doctor to get the emergency team.

...

Marinette opened one eye. She then opened both. She then saw that she was in a room. She was in a hospital bed. Her forehead had a bandage wrapped around. She then noticed two people older than her. She could recognize them.

"M...Mom...?" asked Marinette.

Sabine gasped and ran to her daughter and hugged her. Marinette felt tears run down her eyes as they closed.

"Oh, sweetie!" said Sabine, "You're okay!"

"We were so worried!" said Tom.

The three hugged each other. Marinette was so happy. Hey were safe, she was safe. Everyone was okay.

...

Marinette had to walk with crutches. Her legs were injured during the fight (and thank goodness no one even knows), but thankfully, they weren't broken. However, shortly, she was allowed to go back home, but was advised to stay inside for a time.

Marinette hasn't really seen Adrien or Cat Noir since the final battle. However, she looked at the news on TV, discovering that Gabriel Agreste is the infamous Hawk Moth. She hasn't stopped thinking about Adrien ever since. Last she heard, Adrien was living with Nino's family for a while.

Suddenly, she got a call from Cat Noir. He wanted her to meet him at their usual spot.

"I can't, Tikki, if I walk in these crutches..." Marinette started.

"Don't worry, Marinette." said Tikki, "My powers can resist your current conditions. Although, it does take a little more power."

Marinette then nodded.

"Tikki, spots on." she said.

...

"Cat Noir, what's wrong?" said Ladybug.

"Everything, Ladybug!" Cat Noir shouted in frustration, "Gabriel Agreste is Hawk Moth. Why would anything be okay about that?"

Ladybug placed a hand on his shoulder. She was upset with herself of course, he was her biggest inspiration, but why is Cat Noir so angry about this? It couldn't be that he had a personal connection to Gabriel.

"I was talking about you. Why are you so upset?" she asked.

"Why aren't you upset?" Cat Noir replied.

"I am, but Chat...look at me!"

Cat Noir then turned around. Ladybug then saw something that surprised her. He had tears in his eyes. He was even beginning to sob.

"Kitty...you're crying." Ladybug realized, "What's wrong?"

The superhero in black leather armor closed his eyes. He wanted to tell her, he just wished he could.

"I...I can't tell you." Cat Noir replied, tears running down his mask and cheeks, "I want to. Believe me, I do. But if I did, I would reveal myself. I'm so sorry. I wanted to be strong for you."

Ladybug sighed. She didn't understand. Just why would Cat Noir need to be strong for her? It still wasn't making sense. She knew that they can't, or really shouldn't know who each other are, but still, it wasn't sounding right.

"Cat Noir," she said, putting her hands to his cheeks, "Look at me. I know that it's extremely tough for you to handle, but you don't have to be strong. I can promise you that-"

Ladybug stopped. Cat Noir's sad face grew with a tint of confusion. Ladybug stares intensely at him. Something about his hair. She didn't know why, but it started to look familiar. Ladybug began to move one of Cat Noir's messy bangs and put it in a way that reminded her of...*him*. Cat Noir grabbed her hands by the wrists.

"My Lady?" he started.

"A-Adrien...?" Ladybug said.

She then realized it. This all made sense. The upsetness, the pressure, and the pain. She brought her hand up to her mouth.

"Oh my God..." she started, her own tears coming out.

The two then hugged each other. Ladybug whimpered Adrien's name. Cat Noir, or Adrien, has been suffering so much now. His own father is Hawk Moth, the cause of Paris living in terror, everything.

She could hardly ever know how much pain this brought to Adrien, but she'd always remember this day for the rest of her life, because this was the day when Cat Noir cried the hardest.

...

It's been a few days since that reveal. Marinette began to walk to the school with crutches still in her hands.

"So really?" asked Alya, "You helped Ladybug and Cat Noir defeat Hawk Moth?"

"No way!" said Chloe, "Marinette's too much of a coward to really help people. I bet you've never even spoken to them."

Suddenly, Cat Noir came by using his staff. He landed next to Marinette.

"Hello, Marinette." he said, "I just wanted to thank you for helping me and Ladybug with Hawk Moth. Paris needs people like you."

Cat Noir then took Marinette's hand and kissed it. He then hugged her too.

"I love you, My Lady." he whispered.

Marinette then blushed as the cat-themed superhero winked at her. He then began to walk away. All Chloe could do, however, was blush in complete embarrassment.
