Chapter 1: Academy of Heroes

"And that's why you should have more bodyguards stationed alongside you, your highness!" 

On the outskirts of the border of the Kushida and Stashin Kingdoms, three humans were walking together  as they argued about different topics here and there. The first of these three people was Princess Ivory Stashin of the Stashin Kingdom. The second was Lucas Infite, a low-ranking noble of Stashin and Ivory's bodyguard. The last of these three was a boy known as Leopold Stratus, her other escort and the best friend of Lucas.

"I can take care of myself with just you two alongside me!" Ivory protested. "I am a student of the fifth ranked magic school. Show some respect before I slap you!"

"What she means is she only needs you with her, Lucas." Leopold teased. "How cute you two are together!"

"S-Shut it already!" Ivory exclaimed, embarrassed at her friend's comments. "Let's just get to the school. You two should be thankful that as my bodyguards you get to go to this school in the first place!"

"Shame that only I will be in your class..." Lucas complained. "Leopold, how did you get into Class D anyway? They are supposed to be the worst of the worst when it comes to hero's... Was the exam really that bad?"

"It really was!" Leopold proclaimed, defending his placement. "Besides, now you and Miss Ivory can have some time alone! Just the two of you!"

"Aww... He cares about us!" Lucas joked.

"Can you two knuckleheads just shut up for one second!" Ivory commanded. "We're almost there..."

"Remind me, but why did you choose the fifth ranked school and not the first like your older brother and sister?" Leopold asked. 

"I'm not as strong as my older siblings let me remind you." Ivory explained. "But really, I just didn't want the publicity. This school will be much easier for me..."

"I see... So, you're still shy around other people, eh?" Lucas observed. "Don't worry, Miss Ivory! I'm always here!"

"I wish you weren't..." Ivory sighed as they arrived at the front gate to the school. "Okay. Lucas and I are in class 1-C, so we will see you later, Leopold. Try to learn something for once, alright?"

"If you say so..." Leopold mumbled, not listening. As he saw the two walk off, the boy smiled. "Now... What should I do first?" Leopold thought about how the year could possibly turn out. He'd never been all that sociable and being in the class of the worst level students wasn't at all helping his case... "Guess I'll have to charm my way into the hearts of the other students here!"

Leo proceeded to walk onto the school campus and instantly attracted the faces of the large number of students around him. Multiple girls looked his way with dreamy eyes as Leopold walked by them.

"Who is that guy?"

"How is someone this hot in front of me?"

"The way his blond hair flows in the wind... And that smile..."

"You know, he's pretty hot when you think about it..."

Leopold smiled as he heard all of these comments. "Hard to resist me? I know that I'm hot, but this fast of an impression... Even Ivory hasn't taken a liking to me or Lucas, so this..."

One girl in particular stopped him from walking, grabbing his right shoulder and looking into his eyes will a strange expression. "Sorry to bother you, sir, but you seemed take a lot of people here off there feet..."

"I am so sorry, miss! I didn't mean to be a bother to you." Leopold apologized. The person in front of him seemed to be of high noble status as many fancy accessories were draped all over her. This meant that Leopold needed to be of an appropriate formality so as not to get to ahead of himself and trip over his words...
