Zion was waiting by the food for Amy who was walking with her friends Leviathan and Emerald. It was about an hour into the party and he still hadn't been able to dance with his girlfriend and barely had the chance to talk with her. "Leo's already danced with one of his girls, so why can't I do better?"
He sighed. There wasn't much he could do as Amy was a princess and he was more or less a nobody. All he could do was keep dreaming... "Maybe I should go and use the restroom while I have the chance..." He arose from his seat and walked out of the ballroom and down the halls of the school. What really was he suppose to do in a situation like this one?
As Zion thought about his own problems, he felt a chill run down his spine. Off to the right of him was what felt like a demon in human skin. An aura the screamed pure evil...
"Woah..." The person in question was a tall boy with grey hair and blue eyes who had a red coat on his back. "So then he's from class A... Wonder what year he is? Should I try talking too him?"
"Um, nice night?" he tried to say to the boy. The boy turned around to him and for a moment Zion was frozen in place. The feeling that Zion could die at any moment clung to his body and made him want to run and hide for the rest of eternity. "Which is strange because not many people can beat me anyway..."
However...
"It really is." the boy agreed. He looked at Zion and smiled. "You must be from class D. You seem troubled... Is something wrong? Did something happen?"
Zion was speechless. He didn't even have a hint of malice in his voice and looked at him like he was Zion's own mother... "Uh, I guess... My girlfriend is just off doing things so I thought that I'd use the restroom..."
"I see." the boy replied to Zion's explanation. "May I walk with you?"
Zion nodded. It would be nice to have someone to talk with since both Emerald and Leopold were off doing their own things. "And maybe I can make a new friend while I'm at it!"
The two walked down the halls of the school and talked. "So you say that your girlfriend isn't being very romantic at the moment? Sounds rough... How do you think you can solve the problem?"
Zion shrugged. "Don't know yet. I thought that I'd think for a while on how to get to be with her more, but nothing has come to mind yet."
"I see..." the boy observed. "Well why don't you tell me what your girlfriend is like? Is she shy or excitable? Is she a looker?"
"Oh she's pretty alright..." Zion said, remembering the amazing looks of Amy. "Her name's Amy Kushida and she's one of the princesses of Kushida. But since she's a problem, that makes it more difficult to try just anything!"
"Amy you say..." the boy repeated. "If that's the case, then I may actually be the perfect person to help you out here."
"How so?" Zion asked. "Do you know Amy or something."
The boy nodded. "Indeed I do. She's actually my adoptive sister and close friend." The boy smiled and looked deep into Zion's eyes. "My name is Leopold Kushida. And I will be the one to help you get all of Amy's love!"
**************
Amy was talking with her friends while the winter dance went on. She had gone with her boyfriend, Zion, and was having a wonderful time. "So, you two still haven't done much yet?"
"Well it isn't like we're dating!" Emerald protested. "What really do you want us to do?"
"Flirt? Dance with other couples? Kiss under the moonlight?" Amy suggested.
