Leopold walked down the halls of the arena as he prepared for the semifinal battle. "I'm kind surprised I've made it this far... Oh well. I won't be making it any farther anyway..." He sighed and looked around.
"Something wrong?" Ceil asked from beside him.
He shook his head. "Not really... I'm just kind of wondering that since our actually lessons will start after the arena, what will they be like?"
Ceil thought for a moment. "I'm not quite sure... I think that Cinder said something about different lessons depending on class rank, but that's all I have."
Leopold nodded. He couldn't expect to have all the answers already considering it was only week two. "Well I'll worry about that later..."
Ceil suddenly jumped on his back and smiled. "You worry too much, Leo. No one could beat you, so don't go stressing now!" She rubbed his head and laughed.
Leopold sighed. "Yeah, but this may beat me one day..."
Ceil jumped down and grabbed Leopold's arm. "Come on! We need to get to the arena and see Cinder's battle!" She tugged him through the halls of the school as he followed behind.
"Why so fast?" Leopold protested. "The battle probably isn't even over yet!"
Ceil looked back. "You can never be sure with Cinder... It way be over in seconds or in hours depending on her emotions and skill..."
Leopold nodded. "I guess that makes sense. It's just so annoying that we have to fight so many battles in one day! This was set up horribly..."
Ceil started laughed. "You know, for someone so strong your quite the lazy fighter..."
Leopold shrugged and looked toward the light at the end of the tunnel that led out to the arena floors. Leopold and Ceil stopped by a column that held up the standing seats and looked the battlefield. Cinder was out on the feild, but... something wasn't right.
Ceil tugged on Leopold's sleeve. "Leo, where is Cinders opponent?"
Leopold looked her in the eye and back at Cinder who stood alone in the arena. "I'm not sure... My guess is something is happening..."
Ceil nodded and looked at Cinder. "Hey, Cici!" she called.
Cinder looked over at Leopold and Ceil, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, hey. So, you finally got your butts over here, huh?"
Ceil laughed. "Yeah, I guess so." she narrowed her eyes. "But, we may still need to be filled in. Cinder, where is your opponent? It's Damion Wolfshine if I'm correct..."
Cinder clicked her tongue. "Not quite sure where he is... The battle has been delayed about 15 minutes because he didn't show up... Inconsiderate if you ask me!"
Leopold agreed. Most of the tournament battles happened on the final day, so it already a long day without delays... "But what can you do? Hopefully he shows up soon..."
As they talked about the situation, a rumbling sound came from the floor of the arena. Ceil looked at the shaking ground. "Leo, what is that?"
Leopold narrowed his eyes. "I'm not sure..." He looked at the ground as it shook the arena and thought. "Is if the guy who's fighting Cinder? But I thought he was a wolfman, so just how is the ground rumbling?"
Cinder growled "This is annoying... I've heard the ground seems to shake when he enters a room..." She raised her right foot and stomped the ground. As the forces collided, the ground suddenly stopped its moving and returned to normal. "Doesn't seem like nothing special to me."
