Chapter 4: Rankings Tournament

"And that's the whole story of what happened..." Leopold explained to Zion. A day had passed since the date Leopold had gone on with Nix and Breeze. Leopold had ended up having to explain the whole date and it's aftermath to Zion shortly after the event had ended.

"I see... So they just left you then and there? THAT'S ALL SHE WROTE! NOTHING MORE!" Zion asked.

Leopold nodded. "And then they seemed to be avoiding me today at school as well... Do you think I did something wrong on the date? Was it something I said?! I don't want to have them hate me for the rest of our time here..."

Zion nodded. "Well, if I'm being totally honest here, I think you'll be just fine." He gave Leopold a grin and then further explained his statement. "I don't know how clueless you have to be, Leo, but I have full confidence that those two girls do not hate you. You actually did this date right!"

 Leopold tilted his head in confusion at Zion's words. "How so?"

Zion gave a short laugh at Leopold's asking. "Trust me, Leopold... You'll see what I mean soon enough..."

Leopold sighed when listening to Zion's unhelpful remarks, but decided not to worry about it anymore and instead to change the conversation's topic. "Anyways, did you see the announcement we were given earlier today?"

"Yeah. Some sort of rankings tournament the school is putting on." Zion confirmed. "Why?"

"I just don't exactly know or understand what it is." Leopold explained. "You got any good ideas of how it's going to work?"

Zion nodded, stretching his arms into the air. "It's pretty much what it sounds like... Basically, everyone at the school will fight in one big tournament to decide where you sit in the school. We will mostly fight in 1v1 battles. Unfortunately, it's not likely any of us from Class 1-D will be able to get a high place due to how weak we all are..."

"Huh..." Leopold mumbled. "So, is it going to be hard then?"

"I'd guess that would be the case, but I can't say for sure..." Zion observed. He scratched his forehead as he continued to think of anymore information.

"So when do they announce specifics of the tournament to us?" Leopold asked. "Would it possibly be during one of tomorrow's classes?"

Zion yawned, starting to feel tired from the long last few days. "I...I think that there's a bulletin board outside of our room that has some stuff about the tournament. You... could check that out if you want..." After those words, he walked over to his bed and feel down to sleep.

Leopold thought for one more moment and then proceeded to walk out of his dorm room and head down the halls of the school in search of the bulletin board Zion had spoken of. When he got to the board, he looked at a paper nailed to it that had the specifics on the rankings tournament that Leopold was wanting to know about.

August 18, 21-22

All day during school hours

Battle tournament to determine rank and sitting among school students

1-8 ranks-8 Elite and Student Council

9-50 ranks-S rate

51-200 ranks-A rate

201-350 ranks-B rate

351-500 ranks-C rate

501-720 ranks-D rate
