"Man I am bored!" Leopold stated. He and Zion were walking down the halls of the school as they headed to next class. However, classes were boring and Leopold was... annoyed beyond imagination! "Can't they let us do something fun for once?! I mean we've already been in school for twelve weeks!"
"I agree, but maybe settle down..." Zion suggested. "Besides, knowing this school anything that's 'fun' is not as fun as they make it out to be!"
Leopold sighed. "Maybe I should have waited another year before going to school..."
Zion laughed. "Trust me, I feel you! How about we check out mail to calm the situation down? That should take your mind of miniscule problems!"
Leopold stretched his arms and nodded. "I guess we can do that. I've been expecting a letter anyway. I still can't believe that it isn't here yet..."
Zion nodded and the two walked to the mailboxes. Leopold looked at his and took a deep breath. "Maybe dad sent me a letter, or better yet Char."
"What are you waiting for?!" Zion asked from beside him. "Just open it!" He laughed and looked back at his own mail while Leopold opened the door to what waited inside.
And just what did sit inside the small space? A singular letter from none other than Charlotte Stratus or the younger sister of Leopold who he had been hoping to get a letter from. "It's finally here!" He opened the letter and read its contents.
Dear big brother Leopold...
It's Char and I am writing this message in reply to the one you sent me! So to start... SINCE WHEN ARE YOU GETTING MULTIPLE GIRLS WITHOUT YOUR AMAZING LITTLE SISTERS OPINION???
But really, I'm glad your doing so well! Making top eight in the school is impressive and I guess your new life didn't seem half bad apart from the sad separation of you and I, which by the way was a terrible decisions I will have you know!
As for myself, I'm doing... not the worst at Academy four... I saw my old friend from the orphanage again and we've been getting along pretty well (except she keeps teasing me about a NON EXISTENT BROTHER COMPLEX). I also have some sort of an admirer who keeps asking me out day after day, but he isn't the worst person I've ever met.
By the way, did you hear that our schools will be having some sort of yearly competition or something? I hope I'll see you there, big brother!
P.S. I will officially be fighting in the matches, so you had better be in them as well!
- Your little sister, Charlotte Stratus
Leopold smiled at the letter. "Seems like life is going well for her... And she even made school exchange tournament roster!" It had been announced a few weeks before that Academies 4 and 5 would be having a competition all second semester and that twenty-one people would be chosen to represent each school. "Although our terrible school still won't give out our rosters this far into the year..."
Leopold stopped thinking as he felt a tap on his shoulder. Zion was looking at him with a confused expression. "Leo, I didn't know you had a sister."
Leopold nodded. "Yeah. She was adopted by my father about two and a half years ago... And she goes to Academy Four upon my fathers wishes."
"Ah..." Zion nodded. "What's she like?"
Leopold scratched his head. "That's... complicated. She kind of changes her emotions here and there, so maybe I should just tell you her story." Leopold cleared his throat and popped his neck. "It all started when..."
2 1/2 years ago...
Leopold was sitting on the couch in the living room of the Stratus residence. It was midday and his father had gone out to buy food for the house along with five of their eight servants. And so, Leopold was stuck with only the three youngest servants of the house and a bored atmosphere.
