Will's Pov:

There were so many injured to deal with. After the freak accident, Apollo cabin was put in charge of healing campers. And being head doctor, Will had to help most. And he heard all the rumours too.

"Freaked out over a prophecy..."

"Lost control of power..."

"That's why the Hades' kids don't belong here..."

Will ignored the last comment and focus on healing Annabeth's wounds. "You're all good," he said, smiling at her.

"Thanks Will. Oh and I saw Nico save you," she stated.

"Oh... that was nothing," he stammered, blushing.

"Suuurrreee," Annabeth teased and then got up. "By the way, check on Maree, we should leave tomorrow for the quest."

"Oh right, ok then," Will replied. He forgotten that he was part of the prophecy.

Standing up, Will looked at the remaining injured. Most of them only had cuts and scrapes which the other medics could easily heal. Will gathered all his gear and headed to the Hades cabin.

First impression: the interior looked like a vampire's lair. Will stood in the doorway, waiting to be noticed. Maree was unconscious on her bed, with Nico sitting next to her and Hazel sitting on the opposite bed.

"Eh ehem," Will cleared his throat. The two kids looked up at him.

"Oh, hi Will, we didn't see you there," said Hazel, giving him a smile. Nico’s face was expressionless.

"Uh, I came to come treat any injuries you guys might have," explained Will.

"Oh thanks but I think only Maree got injured, the shadows missed us both," said Hazel.

"Oh, okay. How's she doing?"

"She's been out since I hit her," stated Nico, looking at the unconscious girl.

"Well uh... make sure she's ok when she wakes up, and make sure she drinks lots of fluids and takes some medicine," explained Will.
Nico nodded, not tearing his gaze from the girl.

Will felt a bit useless at the moment. "Annabeth said we should leave tomorrow since it's already September."

"Makes sense," replied Hazel. "I'll walk you out." She jumped out of the bed and lead Will out the door.

"I'm sorry for Nico’s attitude towards you, it's been a big and confusing day," she said when they were outside the cabin.

"For all of us," responded Will, looking out onto the camp. Moonlight shone out over the camp, lighting up the fields and cabins, the fire just a dim glow in the distance. There was barely a soul in sight. How could Will leave all of this for a quest? And it sounded like it was going underground.

"Thanks for everything today," said Hazel, snapping Will out of his thoughts. "I can tell Nico enjoyed your company. Better go before the harpies get you. Goodnight." And with that she was through the door and shut it behind her, leaving Will puzzled over her words.

Repeating the day's events over in his head, Will turned around and walked over to him cabin, wondering what tomorrow would bring...

Maree's Pov:

It was so dark... And not the darkness she was use to, like a deeper and more evil thing then she could imagine. It seized her with invisible hands and seemed to take all of her power, taking her life away. She twisted and struggled but she was stuck in it's grasp. All she could do was scream...

Maree shot up, feeling all hot and sticky. Her siblings were next to her, looking at her.

"Nightmare?" asked Hazel. Maree just nodded, too scared to speak.

"You wanna talk about it?"

Head shake.

"Ok then."

Maree closed her eyes and tried to recall the day's events. "Please tell me the prophecy was part of my dream."

"I wish," retorted Nico. Hazel shot him a glare.

"And... Holy Hera," Maree seized her head. "I freaked out and lost control, didn't I?"

Hazel gave her a solemn nod. "I know you didn't want to hurt anyone and it's not your fault."

"But people got hurt, didn't they?" whispered Maree. Hazel could only look at the ground.

Nico got up. "We better sleep. Big day tomorrow and that prophecy has promised no happily ever after so let's hope we can get this over with."

"We're still going?" asked Maree, suprised.

"You can't deny a prophecy and it's September, the first autumn leaf will fall soon," Hazel softly responded.

"Even after I freaked out, they still want me to lead?" asked Maree.

"Who wouldn't. You're powerful, strong, kind and awesome," Hazel pointed out.

"And grumpy if you're sleepless," stated Nico, grabbing Hazel, ignoring her complaints and struggles and dumping on her on her bed before turning around and walking to his own.

"And what if the nightmare returns?" called Maree, fear on her voice.

Nico looked at her, face full with sympathy. "You're in control. You can tell it to go away." And with that, he hopped on his bed and went to sleep.
