Kayden Grant
Tatiana ran downstairs because she thought I'd be late for the meeting, which I won't be because I'm the boss, so why is she running anyway?
"Slow down, Mon Avenir," I said, but she ignored me. When she got to the first floor, she smiled and pushed her hair to the back.
"I'm ready." I kissed her and grabbed her hand. We walked into the elevator, and Hugo was already waiting for us downstairs.
"I have a short meeting, and then we'll go shopping." She has been begging me to go out since last week, and she also has been complaining because I never let her out for almost a week.
I planned to keep her as long as possible, but she gave me those puppy-green eyes that I couldn't say no to.
"It's fine. I can roam around the headquarters. Will Luna be there?" She asked as we walked out of the elevator.
"No. Luna doesn't like going to the headquarters." She pouted.
"You can be in the meeting room with me."
"That would be boring." She waved at Hugo, and Hugo smiled, and he got a glare from me.
"Morning, Mrs.Grant."
"Good morning, Hugo. Have you got your coffee?" She asked in her usual cheerful tone. Hugo hesitates to answer and keeps looking at me and Tatiana back to back.
"He did," I answered, and Tatiana turned to me.
"Don't be mean." She hissed, "Did you?" Tatiana turned to Hugo again.
"No, yet, Mrs.Grant."
"Let's get coffee!" She turned to me, and I nodded. She got into the car, and I glared at Hugo before getting in.
"I'm in the mood for a sweet latte. How about you?" Tatiana was looking at the cafe's online menu with her phone.
"Americano or expresso shots."
"So basic." She commented, and my eyes caught Hugo looking at me through the mirror, smiling like an idiot. When his eyes met mine, he immediately turned away.
"Basic?"
"Yeah. Your coffee order is boring. I'm going to order something for you." Hugo drove us to my usual coffee shop.
"What do you want, Hugo?"
"I'll get a green tea frap, Mrs.Grant." Tatiana turned to me.
"See, even Hugo's order is more fun."
"What's so fun about green tea frap?" I raised my eyebrows, and we arrived at the coffee shop. We got out of the car and walked inside.
"I'm going to order something for you," Tatiana said, and she could do whatever she liked. I won't complain. She was busy telling the cashier her orders, and my job was giving her my card.
She squealed after finishing her order, and she grabbed my hand to wait for the drinks.
"Did you order weird drinks for me?" I asked, and she turned to me, shaking her head.
"Don't be mean, and I want you to enjoy the drink, too. I'm not selfish, husband." I smiled, hearing her calling me a husband. I'll never get over it, and it gives me butterflies.
She was so excited that she watched the barista work on her orders. She ordered a green frap, a latte, and a big pink drink. She clapped her hand, and when I wanted to grab the latte, she slapped my hand.
"That's not yours!" She grabbed the latte and the green frap, leaving me with the giant pink drink with strawberries inside. I don't even drink sweet shit like this, and now my wife is making me drink one.
I grabbed the pink drink and tried it.
"How is it?" It tasted like diabetes for me.
"Good." I looked away.
"You're lying."
"It's fine."
"I know you're lying."
"It's good, Mon Avenir." I turned to her and smiled. She rolled her eyes before grabbing the pink drink and giving me the latte.
Thank god.
"I know you will never like it. It's written all over your face." She took a sip and squealed.
"Let's go." We left the cafe and got into the car to go straight to the headquarters. Tatiana gave Hugo's green tea frap, and she told him about me not liking her cute drink. I took a sip of my latte, and it was good. It's better than the pink drink.
"You still have 5 minutes before the meeting." She said as we arrived at the headquarters.
"Yes, why? Do you want to have a quickie?"
"You and your horny head." I chuckled.
"What do you want then?" She grabbed something from her pocket and showed it to me.
The Pink Diamond.
"I want you to have it." She put it in the palm of my hand.
"Where did you get this?"
"I stole it." I looked at her in disbelief.
"You stole it?"
"Yeah, I stole it from my father's collection. It was love at first sight."
"Why are you giving it to me?" She kissed me on the cheek.
"I just want you to have it."
"But you love it so much."
"You wanted it, so... I want you to have it. It seems you have an obsession with diamonds." She smirked.
"And why did you say that?"
"Because you have books about it. You don't read books, yet you have books about diamonds. You even slipped a paper, wanting a red ruby." She knows me so well.
"Are you sure you're giving this to me?"
"Yes. Take it before I regret it." I chuckled and put the pink Diamon into my pocket.
"Thank you, Mon Avenir." I kissed her and led her inside.
"Go have your meeting, and I'll roam around the headquarters." She pushed my hand away when we were in front of the elevator.
"I'll be with you in an hour," I said, and she nodded. When the elevator door opened, I walked in and waved at her.
"I love you."
"I love you too, Mr.Grumpyface." When the door closes, I still can see her because it's made out of glass.
"I'm going to hang out with Ares." She mouthed, and I glared at her. I pressed the open button, but it was too late. She giggled and ran away.
That minx.
I'm going to kill Ares fucking Young.
