You don't ever say too much

"Nah because I literally don't care about any of you. Where's your sister?" I could hear Trevor's loud mouth from my room the next morning. In fact, I could hear all their loud mouths because after he said that they all got mad especially Jackson. Well not really mad, but you know, like fake mad.

"Bro your about to be banned from sleeping here." Jackson scolded.

"Is my bed the same as hers?" I hear him say, again making Jackson and the others come at him. I felt giddy hearing that. Maybe if Jack hears that someone else his age sees me as more than a friend or a little girl, maybe he will too. I wish I could see his reaction, see if he cared or got mad. I wanted to know so bad.

Eventually the boys simmered down but they were still here. I had a feeling they would be inside all day playing the new Madden that just came out. So I would be subjected to listen to them bicker over it or I would be spending the day all alone.

I'll see how it goes sitting down there for a bit.

I for out bed, stretching for the first time. I had slept in some plaid pajama shorts and a tank top which I decided to leave on as I slipped my feet into some slippers. I quickly brushed my teeth and fixed my hair a bit before heading downstairs.

"Finally" I heard Trevor yell before I was swallowed in a hug by a big body. Trevor. I giggled and hugged him back tightly. "I only came here for you" he said.

"Atleast someone is nice to me" I joked. The others had made their way out here, Jackson scowling at Trevor sourly. Cole and Alex both came and gave me their hugs as well, not earning the same look from Jackson. My eyes found Jack's. His face was blank. No expression as he stared at me. I tilted my head in confusion a bit at the harshness of his gaze but he simply just looked away from me, leaning Cooly against the door frame.

"Todays boys day" Jackson said from the kitchen.

"I know I was gonna chill and watch for a little then go do whatever. I know when I'm not wanted" I rolled my eyes.

"Good" he responded. I glared at him.

"I want her there" Trevor chimed in, pointing to himself.

"Yeah we know" Jack finally spoke up.

"Actually same, she's my best friend" Luke added sheepishly. I smiled proudly as I walked over and wrapped around the two on my side.

"These are my favorites" Beside me Trevor jokingly cheered and Luke shrugged as if to say 'I know'. Jackson rolled his eyes before they all filed into the main room to play the game.

Jack lingered for a second, watching as they all walked out leaving just me. I fumbled around a cabinet in the kitchen for a cup. He made me so nervous. So much so I dropped a cup from the cabinet but he was quick to snag it out of mid air before it fell. When did he get so close? He said nothing as he held it out to me, a quizzical look in his eyes as he watched me spiral.

It was like he felt better seeing the way I was melting for him as usual. His eyes weren't as hard and his cocky smile returned to his lips as he watched my eyes turn to doe eyes just from him being near him. He brushed some hair off my shoulder, leaving a trail of goosebumps where his finger tips brushed against my skin.

When he leaned down and was breathing near my ear, I thought I was gonna go into cardiac arrest. "We all know who your real favorite is, don't we?" He whispered before walking out of the kitchen to the main room. Leaving me a mess.

I was shaking and felt like I was sweating. My heart was racing and my stomach turned with every breath. I was dizzy. I was only thinking about him. Biologically, how did my body respond like this to one person and one person only? It didn't seem physiologically possible to react this way off one single touch. Off one single sentence.
