It took a moment before my emotions settled back down. Once they did, I was angry. That wasn't fair of Ly, it wasn't. He wasn't sober, so hopefully come tomorrow he would be thinking clearly. For now, though, I'm mad at him.

I storm off (NOT THEIR FREAKING SONG COMING ON) and head up to Cleo's room. I walk into Cleo's room to find Izzy and Cleo chilling on her bed. Izzy looks half asleep with her head basically in Cleo's lap.

"Are you okay, Aura?" Cleo immediately asks with concern. Izzy sits up quickly, looking over at me.

"Yeah, me and Ly just got in a fight," I try to say as calmly as I can as I go to sit on the couch in the corner of her room.

"What!?" Cleo screams.

"Have you and Ly ever even had a disagreement before?" Izzy asks softly.

"No, we haven't," I answer as quietly as she had asked. I fumble with my fingers, staring down at them.

"What do you two even have to fight about?" Cleo questions.

"He said he won't wait while I do what I need to do for the next little while," I whisper.

"Then don't do it," Cleo commands. "I don't know would would be important enough to lose the guy who has waited for you his whole life. Do you see the way he looks at you?" She rants. "Seriously, don't do it."

"I can't just chose not to do this Cleo, I have too. It's my responsibility," I sigh. There I go biting the inside of my lip again, where did that habit even come from? The bloody taste was back in my mouth and it made me shiver. I'm not a fan of blood.

"What is that important, Aurilyn?" Cleo questions. She stares at me in utter bewilderment.

"I_" I hesitate, "I can't tell you. I mean I will tell you whenever its over with, but I can't tell you right now." I hated how weak I sounded, and how weak I feel after arguing with Ly.

Cleo looks over at Izzy wearily. "I get it, I don't like it, but I get it. However you do need to tell Lyland if you already haven't."

"He figured it out on his own, but he doesn't agree with it," I mumble.

"If he doesn't understand then maybe it's for the best?" Izzy adds faintly.

"Or you can come up with a compromise?" Cleo contributes with a hopeful smile.

"I don't know Cleo." My voice barely comes out, breaking in the middle of my sentence. Tears well up in my eyes without permission. Air hitches in my lungs, as a small tear begins to trickle down my cheek.

The fear of losing another childhood friend, especially over something like this was unbearable to me. I couldn't lose Lyland. Couldn't lose the bright sunshine friend who had always been there. Lyly was probably the truest most consistent friend I had ever had. Losing him like this, now that I've let myself get even more attached, couldn't happen.

My hands wipe at the tears trickling down my face. I go to look up at Cleo, but my fiery hair covers my face most irritatingly. As I push my hair back, the door to Clementine's room creaks open.

"Every-" Cash calls into the room. His voice stops suddenly. "Little A, are you okay?"

Tucking my hair back behind my face, I nod. "Yeah, I'm fine."

"Hallway, now," he commands. My eyes move to his. The blue in them seems darker. Something violent hid beyond their surface. His eyebrows lower on his face in anger, making him all the more terrifying.
