As soon as the sun rises in the sky, I head off. I have to get the snake out of my moms office. It's not an option, its a must. Of course my house and my moms office are going to be locked, so I may struggle with getting it.

By the time I reach my house, my sister is outside sitting on the porch. "You're here," she states without looking up. "I saw that you needed this, so come get it before mom and dad figure it out. Don't say I never did anything for you." Vicky lifts a bag up in the air as I walk up to her.

"Thank you," I say, softly taking it from her hands. "I need it to save dad. I know things are crazy right now, but you have to trust me."

"I wouldn't have given it to you if I didn't trust you. Use your brain. If you need any help just let me know. We are sisters after all." She gets up suddenly and gives me a big hug. "Come home soon Aura, and be safe."

"I will be. Don't trust anyone outside of our family, and watch your back little sis. Things are kinda crazy," I let out a small laugh before kissing the top of her head.

"Got it, now go. Before our parents realize you're here."

I nod, giving her one last good squeeze before letting go. I quickly walk away. Victoria just made my life 10 times easier. Instead of spending all day sneaking into my house, I already had exactly what I needed.

"Tamera?" I ask when I get back to her place. "I know you're already doing me a huge favor by letting me stay, but by any chance do you have anything I can use to enhance my foreseer powers?"

"Some crystals, but nothing in specific," she answers. I thank her before sitting down on the couch.

I was still weakened from the fight the other day. My abilities hadn't charged up properly, so for today I was going to have to rest as much as possible. Most of the day I slept on Tamera's couch, rarely getting up. Towards the end of the day I spent some time talking to Jane and Tamera, catching up on missed times.

The next day, my strength had gone up quite a bit, so Jane and I went to the Forgotten Forest for some fresh air. We spent a few hours at the park, her telling me all of the adventures she had gone on.

We exited the Forgotten Forest trying to be sneaky so we wouldn't be caught. We hear an arguement right by the fence as we go to leave. Exchanging a worried look, and sneak closer. Right when we get to where we can barely see two people, we hear a scream. One of the people zoom off as the other falls to the ground.

We run over to see if we can help, but once we get close I freeze in shock.

Lyland.

Blood gushed from his stomach, as he tried to put pressure on the cut. His hands were soaked in blood. I stand in place not knowing what to do.

"Aura, put pressure on his wound! I'm going to get help!" Jane yells at me.

I stumble forward, using my hands to try to stop the bleeding, as Jane runs off. Blood pools over my hands, as I watch Lyland get weaker and weaker. I pray help gets here soon.

As the blood pools up more and more, I feel myself slip away. I try to fight the vision, but its to strong.

Suddenly I'm at the Hathway Halls. "Ready?" a girl asks me.

"As ready as I'll ever be," a male voice says. I try to move to see who the voice belongs too, but I can't. I'm stuck to the body I'm in.

The girl in front of me is cloaked in black, a sword hanging down across her back. I feel my body disappear, as I try to look around. Yet I have no control in this vision, I'm stuck seeing what the person I'm stuck in sees.

I feel my body become one with the shadows swiftly, and realize that I'm stuck in Lyland's body. This is the night the Emperor got murdered, and I'm seeing everything he did.

I didn't need the snake after all, I needed Lyland. I needed to see what he did, know what he did. This whole time the answer had been right in front of me. If it was a snake it would have bitten me.

The feeling of becoming a shadow and moving in the shadows was hard to explain. It was like being nothing and everything all at once. Freezing and burning, but at the same time being nothing but dust and air.

Lyland swished through the shadows like air in a breeze. He looked through and under all the doors and windows, checking each room as he went.

We slid passed the Emperor, and then back. Forming an almost solid being, I could feel his arm move. It felt like moving my arm when it was asleep. A mess of tingles and numbness, but with something light and airy to it too. As if it wasn't moving at all.

He was gesturing Cleo over. Just like that we were back in the shadow, sweeping through passed the Emperor. He slid into a room, and of course there I was. He froze in place staring at me, as if he didn't know what to do.

I watched as my arm caught onto the glass and went to fall to the floor. Yet this time, I was in Lyland's mind within the shadows. He quickly formed a solid arm in order to catch the glass before it hit the ground. (TN DON't remember all the details).

He waited within the shadows, until the murderer ran off. He followed behind in the Shadows. Once he got outside, he followed behind the murderer only going back into his flesh form once they had gotten some distance between the Hathway Halls and themselves.

Gold shined in the light, dangling from the murderers hand. "You kept the headrest? Are you insane?!" Lyland shouted.

"Oh calm down, I'm gonna give it to Abbadon later," the girl chimes, as she turns towards Lyland.

Her blond hair swishes in the wind. Her blue eyes twinkle in the light. She was beautiful. The most beautiful girl that I had ever seen. Of course, she was also my best friend.

This whole time I was searching for the killers, just to find out they were right under my nose the whole time. My best friend had done all of this.

Clementine had killed the Emperor. It was her the whole time, but why?
